Not a hint if oxidation but the fruit is receding, leaving things a bit hollow with bitter notes encroaching.

1999 vintage. At The Ledbury - paired with fish course. Wow. This wine is a knock out. My last bottle in the case unfortunately. But it's actually even better than the last one that was amazing. Nutty, almond, still developing - fresh mushroom and honey. Very complex. On the palate, oozes class and complexity - perfect acidity, medium body, medium plus concentration and long finish. Flavours mirror the aromas on the nose. A superb wine that remarkably still has years ahead of it.

1999 vintage. Wow. Great wine. After two hours of air, the honeysuckle and almond notes stand out. Very elegant but surprisingly powerful in a delicate way! Mineral with very integrated oak - vanilla essence. Citrus and green fruits that are ripe but subtle. On the finish the honey notes adds a gorgeous depth of flavour. On this showing, it matches the Pucelles '99 stride for stride.
