Dream Abbraccio Merlot Blend 2016

Drank for 2024 anniversary alongside 2015. Very dry still, could have aged longer still. Nice fruit, cherry, berries. Very tasty. Might grab another. — 10 months ago

Corposo Niagara Peninsula Red Blend 2019

Another wine from the winery in Niagara Canada. Ruby red with a bit of brown tint. Cherry flavor. A relatively new well maintained winery, close to the US border. Wish I had time to do tasting onsite. — 4 years ago

Vidal Icewine 2017

Pale gold color and a pronounced bouquet of pear, ripe pineapple, apricot and lemon. Unctuous texture, full bodied and creamy on the Palate. A bit light in acidity so it verges on count but the long finish is very clean — 6 years ago

Stratus

Niagara Peninsula Red Blend 2019

Very well done blend. Great burger wine. Good pepper, dark chocolate, dark berries, decent tannin with acidity towards the finish. More chocolate and berries on finish. Some oak also. This reminds me of a wannabe Cain cuvée. — 2 years ago

Sparkling Icewine Vidal 2019

Deep burnt orange in color with a lighter orange cream mousse and tiny bubbles. Wonderful nose of dried apricots and honeysuckle. This is echoed on the rich (of course) palate. Lowish (medium minus) acidity — it’s Vidal after all — offset by the tingle of the bubbles. Stone fruity moderate finish. Hard to dislike any icewine, even if it’s Vidal, and the bubbles add a surprising element of fun to this one. A nice celebratory dessert wine to drink with your birthday cake or New Year’s pudding. Will likely lose some bubbles after a decade, but should satisfy through 2039 and beyond. — 3 years ago

Icewine Niagara Peninsula Vidal 2017

This dessert wine has a lovely, rich golden tint. The nose offers candied apricot and honey, while the palate shows that yummy stone fruit and a touch of citrus, along with plenty of acidity. — 3 years ago

Icewine Vidal 2017

This is exactly what it’s supposed to be. Problem is that it’s not exactly what I want in wine. Dessert Wine: yes yes the syrupy aroma clearly lets you know what’s ahead. The fruit flavors are hidden behind the nectar but full flavored and fulfilling its purpose. — 4 years ago

Cuvée Mon Unique Gamay 2014

Big words: best red wine PM has ever made. So joyous and energetic! The kind of wine that takes you out of conversation to remark on how delicious the wine tastes at every sip! Light sparkly texture is right up my alley personally. Lovely tart fruit and some forest notes. I would find it hard to grow tired of this wine, could drink a bottle every day. — 7 years ago

Vinemount Ridge Riesling 2016

A pointed Riesling from one of Niagara’s top names. Chiseled and racy, it tastes of peach blossom, river rocks, lemon oil and petrol. Cutting precision and lengthy. — 7 years ago
