Easy drinker, serve a hair more chilled than RT, bitter on the back of the tongue but really creamy all over without being too thick, blueberry and walnut butter — 10 years ago

The darkest goddamned wine I've ever seen, the color of an endless chasm filled with grape jelly. It's nose elicits blackberry jam. This wine is thick. Stick to the roof of your mouth thick. Almost congeals once it hits your throat. Not bright or fruity at all, but extremely buttery. Hints of tobacco and açai. — 12 years ago

Supersweet viscous eiswein from Canada. Dense honeylike character, to be swept around the mouth and tongue to capture all elements of sweetness. Flavors of agave nectar or honey, served slightly below room temperature. — 11 years ago

Opulent wine, easy on the tongue and throat and not at all sour, just mildly tart. Like drinking the warm, gooey filling of a home-cooked blueberry pie. This wine can't help but be sultry. Buttery on the edges of the tongue with an afterbreath of warm butterscotch and toasted almond. Highly recommended for an early Autumn night, dimly lighted scenery and a cigar. Drink just a touch below room temperature. Pairs well with a creamy muenster cheese and deep moments of inner-reflection. — 12 years ago
