Pours as vibrant as the label. A blend of pan-Mediterranean varieties, led by Tempranillo and Nero d’avola, that makes for a surprisingly generous, juicy expression of the whole zany zone, AND YET grown in the SA Riverlands. These bullets hit — 8 years ago
Whoa ... very different. Big bodied and spicy. Almost bubbly. Great with duck at Barolo's on Denver. — 9 years ago
This dark Italian has black cherry and raspberry on the nose, with a solid grounding in soil. Spices and herbs decorate the aroma profile, with allspice and anise predominant. On the palate, it's a bold showing of dark fruit and currant accompanied by a savory, black olive edge. Those savory notes last long into the generous finish. — 9 years ago

Earthy with a great finish. — 11 years ago
— 12 years ago

Yeah It has been a slippery slope of upping the price I will pay for wine, started at trader joes & now, well not buying wine at traders, but I do my research on wine searcher to find the best prices, never pay full retail, I even have wine shipped from NY & chicago, save's money since no sales tax, I think I enjoy the search as much as the tasting of different wines, think im addicted to shopping, I need help💳🆘😎

Still catching up with my Sicilian notes and this was a cracking Wine - one of the highlights for me. A red blend of Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappucio (60%) plus Nocero and Nero d’Avola. Funky savoury brilliant aromas. The 2 Nerellos much like Pinot Noir. Light to medium bodied, sappy, dry and delicious. Could be a Grand Or Premier Cru Burgundy 160 Hectares DOC; 7 producers in total. Buy some! — 9 years ago
Paid $40 at restaurant. Interesting balance. Would buy more — 9 years ago
Absolutely delicious! Lots of berry notes and a bit of oak. — 10 years ago
Work has been hectic. Needed some me time tonight. F it (or no, F is also very good, but in this case I "I" 'd it. I I'd it. Id it? Oh F it you know what I mean!!!) Orin Swift letter (location) bottles are some of the best value bottles out there. Italy doesn't disappoint - $16 well-spent. Other me time highlights tonight: sushi, massage w/ a focus on occipitalis (oh yes....), my new fav JT jam on the radio, and being giddy about Chelsea's new Netflix show premier tonight. Oh, and this post was brought to you by the letter I — 10 years ago

Tasted this wine on the last day of our Sicily trip. With lamb chops. Absolutely amazing. Good body, red fruits, spicy, rich but nicely smooth tannins. Loved it. — 7 years ago
