Prior rating and notes hold true - super crisp, high acidity, touch of creaminess, tart grapefruit pith and citrus galore. Nice memory of sipping this with @Mike R and Rhonda at the Brazilian Court in Palm Beach pre the Wine Nerd Herd weekend festivities. — 9 years ago

Nerd alert! Pinot Grigio with skin contact. Has a round mouthfeel that could almost lend itself to some residual sugar. — 10 years ago
The boss @ MH HQ ... Intensity in Ten Cities. — 11 years ago
Divine. Super dark. Spicy. Maybe a bit of eucalyptus (wine nerd alert). Finished with a bit of vanilla. — 11 years ago
One of the best NVs going around. Using much more Reserve material than many of their competitors. Enjoyed an informative visit to their HQ and Caves in Reims 6 weeks ago. Refreshing. 17+. — 12 years ago
Becoming such a nerd for grappa, and this certainly didn't disappoint. Interesting celery notes, along with some dustier spices. Shockingly smooth! — 13 years ago

What a pleasure to be working out of Vinous/Delectable HQ this week in NYC, and to be tasting my first Vermont wine in the process. This Marquette boasts a lovely dusted rose, hibiscus aroma - backdropped by an intensely bright through line of acidity. Cheery and very food friendly. — 8 years ago

Nerd wine for sure. Bramble berries and all sorts of secondary flavors. #propernortherndrink — 8 years ago
To quote my two friends @Martin G Rivard and @Mike Rowe this is a bad ass wine eliciting smiles all around (and a great way to start 2017). Parker gave this a perfect score and it is a beauty. Decanting is a must at this point. It's been opening up over the last 4 hours and think it will continue to improve if I can sip more slowly lol. Slightly cloudy, and a bright purple in the glass. On the nose, cassis, vanilla and toast dominate. The sips are long and driven by fruit (blue and blackberries and cassis). Liquid silk in the mouth with sweet tannins and a surprisingly strong acidity. The finish is long. This is a total baby but I had to try it. Happy New Year to all my Delectable friends and especially to my fellow Wine Nerd Herd. I've always believed that sharing wine with friends is the greatest gift and this app has enabled me to do that with friends near and far and connect with some great people. May 2017 be a year of great health and happiness and may all our glasses be full! — 9 years ago

Gobs of garrigue, fresh and fleshy red fruits this is such a great wine at an insane value. Mostly undiscovered gems like this are the gold at the end of the wine nerd rainbow. I can't wait to visit the region of Faugeres. #characterfordays — 11 years ago
Nerd alert! Girardet's Flasgship red. 2011 #UmquaValley Baco Noir from #Oregon. Dark and smoky like Syrah but with a Pinot Noir-like elegance. Plum, black cherry and cranberry mixed with roasted coffee, toasted oak and vanilla spice. Soft and silky. #wine #baco #sommelier #unique — 12 years ago
Smooth taste, wonderful with agnolotti and shredded beef served at Slow Food HQ in Bra. — 13 years ago
Super-sappy and sinewy, and loaded with cherry and lavender. If there was a forest floor flavor of hard candy, this wine would be the model. I love how Beaux Freres manages to be both crowd-pleasing and wine nerd stimulating. Also, Wine Spectator scored this wine 89 points, which is kind of sad and makes me embarrassed for them. — 8 years ago

Nerd wine. Salty, round, sweet citrus, prosciutto, melons. Hard to take notes during pump overs... — 9 years ago
This, to me, is the quintessential crowd pleasing wine. It hits all the notes one would want for serving wine to a crowd:
- it appeals to the masses insofar as it has a touch of residual sugar, but in a pleasant manner
- it has sufficient complexity to appeal to the novice wine nerd
- it ain't expensive.
I've had three different cuvées from Sebastiani, all under $30 and I've enjoyed all three very much! Well done @Sebastiani Vineyards — 9 years ago

Soft and light. Simple good wine to nerd out to. Crowd pleaser too. — 10 years ago
need to stump a #wine nerd? ask: which 'other' grapes allowed in #Champagne Answer: super-rare Meslier, Arbanne, Pinot Blanc, the 3 grapes in gorgeous Ariston Aspasie "Cepages d'Antan". Nectarous nose, zippy-minerally taste - quaffed, by necessity, in plastic cups on a #Paris bus

Super smooth. Bought it on label design, but it has the whole package. Aerated it and both were delicious. Good sign. But back to the design, I'm a nerd for bugs and copper foiling. Want a case. — 11 years ago
Nerd alert! Citrus, salt, stones...you name it! — 12 years ago

Rias Baxias region of northwest Spain 🇪🇸The Galician climate receives moisture from the Atlantic 🌊 and is mostly sticky, warm and rainy with rain ☔️ most days during the year. The humid, salt air is what this viticultural environment is all about. The mostly white wines made here are highly acidic, with notes of tart, green apple 🍏 and white flowers. Most wines are aged in stainless steel and some see new, French oak but only for a few months. Then they are aged in the bottle. You can cellar them for up to 5-6 years.
