Valencia oranges. Punches way above its weight. Drinks like a grower champ.

When we talk purity and honesty in wine, Larmandier-Bernier instantly comes to mind. An attractive light golden robe and impressive perlage. The nose is instantly striking with plenty of green apple and butter. Lemon and limes along with marzipan. Chalky and fresh, this is one that you really should just sit with for a while and appreciate. The pastry aromas are absolutely killer here. The citrus fruit notes are really prominent over time. So pretty.
A biodynamic Blanc de Blancs from masters of their terroir. Stately and august while remaining approachable. It’s a wine you want to be effusive. Full of personality, charm, and complexity there’s such power and grace with this champagne. Brilliant acidity but there’s no way I would mark this as zero dosage if tasted blind. Laser like precision here. So classy and luxurious.
In the mouth, this is pure joy. Pure finesse and excellence. Terrific texture and balance. Citrus and slight toasted brioche notes. There’s a really nice streak of spice towards the end, especially on the second day. This champagne may not be right for everyone but it’s certainly right for me. I love this. — 3 years ago

Nose is yellow fruits, green apple, pear, bread, yeast and gorgeous minerals. As it airs nose the wet earth shines through. Palate is juicy and super clean with luscious fruit and has a grippy structure. What a finish. Medicinal herbs and a slightly bitter thing that is so German and so appealing. — 2 years ago
“Blanc” de Noirs. Blend of Pinot Meunière & Noir. As always, crafted to deliver obscene amounts of pleasure. — 3 years ago
Weirdly, tomato jam, apples, and even reminds me of a peppery arugula.
Refreshing. Zippy. Stay with me here — the Gatorade of champagne in terms of quenching thirst.
The taste buds seize up, stand up straight. Bouquet translates to taste with a bit more pear and still a welcome subtle pepper quality on the endnote. — 4 years ago

Always with such incredible expression of terroir, Agrapart’s 2016 Venus is fabulous today riveting with energy; just electric on the palate. There’s such an incredible combination of richness and purity with impeccable concentration and fruit density. Layers of perfumed citrus oils, ripe orchard fruit, almond skin and crushed stones waft from the glass. The palate is long, vibrant and intense with a mineral and saline inflicted finale. A killer BdB. — 3 years ago
Had the brut nature. You can taste the chalk. Very good. — 4 years ago
(Opened 24hrs) first night quite dry/austere and closed. Acids dominante palate. Day 2: blossoms into ginger, wet gravel/river stones, bitter lemon. Really quite lovely.
