Enjoyed Black Friday morning on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean at Sea Ranch, CA. Much better than shopping! Now (7PM) Hendrix our Standard Poodle is knocked out after another day in Paradise. A romantic day. Nice mousse and almond aftertaste on the wine. — 7 years ago
Founded in 1934, Chateau Ste. Michelle is the oldest winery in Washington with some of the most mature vineyards in the Columbia Valley. With deep soil, Miller Ranch is also in a climate sweet spot, cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon. Straw yellow with aromas of stone and tropical fruit with floral notes. On the palate crisp style with orange and grapefruit flavors, soft acidity with juicy sweetness, not overwhelming with a smooth ending. Good value. Tasting Sample. — 8 years ago
2007 tasting at its peak.
Aromas of mushroom and forest floor. Silky complex flavors w long finish — 8 years ago
Blackberry, minerals, Burgundian style with little to no oak, like morning dew. Light and bouncy, acidic in the mouth with a lingering finish. Solid Barolo, needs another few years as there is still some heat on the nose. — 8 years ago
Love everything about this rose. From the nose to the finish, it's incredibly balanced and vibrant. Red berries, peaches with cream, savory herbs and white rose petals kissed with morning dew. Rich and coating on the palate, the eager acidity drives through and coats everything in sight. — 8 years ago
Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon blend. Honeysuckle from Sémillon; passionfruit, pineapple, grapefruit from Sauvignon Blanc. Fresh cut grass, new oak. A beautiful Napa "Bordeaux Blanc." Its Japanese name translates as "morning dew." The grapes are sourced from Oakville and Rutherford in Napa. — 9 years ago
This is new vintage from Cresto di’Oro (Three Arrows) ranch/vineyard in the sub-AVA Green Valley of Russian River, Sonoma County. I am so impressed with this Pinot Noir rose. The color is like rose gold/copper which is so pretty. The aroma of fresh lime and lemon, white flowers, juicy strawberry and raspberry popped out right away after a swirl. The palate was so rounded with white peach, grapefruit, and melon finishing up with such a nice crisp taste, no tart or bitter taste at all that I found in most of dry roses. It’s a lovely rose that I didn’t expect to like 👍 — 5 years ago
Valentine's Day 2018. Paired with Roasted Butterflied Lobster Tail, and a Chocolate Truffle Torte. Notes to come:)
- - Brane-Cantenac is a special wine to my wife and I. It is the first Bordeaux Chateaux we ever visited on our honeymoon. It is this little modest estate sitting in the shadow of the oversized Chateaux of Cantenac Brown, but it couldn't be more opposite when you bring the wine into the mix. Classic Margaux nose but less funk and more fruit. Terrior is hard to define, but if you have been somewhere memorable, and have a wine or food from that place.. it's when you have it again and it transports you back that to that place and time that defines that for me. It smells of the cool clean air and morning dew, sunshine, gravel dust from the road we had just driven in on, leather and wood from the barn, and the fresh overtones of fruity wine just beginning fermentation in the production facility that make up the core character of the wine. It is the terrior of Cantenac, and more specifically of Brane-Cantenac.
Paired this with Roasted Butterflied Lobster, and Broccolini, and a little left over for the Chocolate Truffle Torte I made as well for Valentine's Day. — 7 years ago
Very earthy but not heavy. Nose of morning dew and cherry. — 8 years ago
#roséeveryday Morning dew on raspberries. — 8 years ago
Thin ruby colour. Fresh blueberry and black currant and morning dew. Very light cluster tannins, thin in the mouth, linear with short finish. High acid. Easy drinking now. — 6 years ago
This wine has good posture. The nose: vanilla and anise; grass and heat like the wet summer morning dew in the Ural Mountains. Best to give it some air. Don’t rush it, it will be forthe coming when it is ready, alas, will you be? — 6 years ago
Candy, floral, with a touch of vegetal in the background. Easy like Sunday morning. — 7 years ago
**NOTE: Delectable can't find the correct label for the Rully Rouge, only the blanc so pay no attention to the name.**
Very pretty from Rully! Fresh wild flowers & thyme, and cran/pomm on the nose and morning dew in the forest. The pallet was delicate, fruitful and an absolutely beautiful color. Raspberry, very faint note of white pepper & clove... more of a fruit forward style wine but none the less absolutely delicious. Made a perfect pairing for what I made for dinner:
Salmon seasoned with thyme, and a scotch cream sauce (made with Monkey Shoulder) accompanied by roasted fingerling potatoes and steamed green beans. Mmmm, mmmm, mmmm.
Perfect burgundy to serve at a party might I add.. clean acidity, balanced fruits.. good effort Latour — 8 years ago
30 min allowed for the wine to open... Ever so slight hint of prunes from ripe plums on the nose, juicy fresh grape flavors, mid palate of earth, cedar, & acid that causes cleansing salivation across the tongue... 2007 vintage firing on all cylinders, and at a high moment, from a producer of magical Zinfandels... it's the next morning, and I'm still craving more. — 8 years ago
fresh earth/ morning dew, transforming to straight up riverbed rocks. Some blue fruits. Silky, light, confident w good structure. Can drink this all day with and without food - fun weeknight wine with the oomph and polish to keep me interested — 8 years ago
Oaky and chewy on first pour, but opened into a fun array of morning dew on citrus and apples with great minerality. I guess I do like chenin. — 8 years ago

Vibrant. Pear, green apple and violets. It tastes and smells like rich dew on an early Spring morning glistering in the sun. A new dawning! Like it will be for my brother Wim. Couldn’t be a better wine to celebrate him coming out of coma today after a terrible fall fracturing his skull. He responded well to testing the basic functions. Breathing on his own again. Yes a road to discovery has been created. A new dawning. Thank God for his healing touch, for hearing our prayers, for having Wim in his plan. Cheers!!! — 5 years ago
