85% CS, 15% Merlot. 19 months in new French oak. Plum, cherry, and black currant. Rose, cinnamon and nutmeg. M acid and body. M+ front tannin. Good structure and balance. Just needs more time to mature. — 10 years ago

2006 and 2007 magnum GGs side by side! These two epic bottles were the stuff of legend with the 06 showing more forward momentum and complexity, while its 07 counterpart seemed to sit and brood in its obvious youthfulness... Both were sublime, but the 06 is the one to drink and get all hedonistic over while the 07 slumbers happily. #Keller #Hubacker #grossesgewächs #GG #Riesling — 11 years ago

Day 3 in Napa in the books! Running a day behind on notes...Napa time runs slow AND fast!
Main reason we go out this time of year each year...the Flora Springs Trilogy Release Party! Very similar in style to their Rutherford Reserve Cab with more chocolate and roasted plum alongside red & black fruit. More plush than their other offerings. — 8 years ago
Very interesting. A first for me as I learn more about NZ. Crisp acid and fresh flavor. — 9 years ago

Love all the Oregon wines! — 11 years ago
One of the better American chards I have had. The collaborations of 3 generations of winemakers, comprising all of SCs winemakers over the years. Lean, the opposite of the butter-oakombs, but with so much subtlety and fleshy enough to be thoroughly enjoyable. — 11 years ago
Little spice. Good rye. Caramel. Butter. — 12 years ago

If aliens landed and asked "What does earth wine taste like?", I would hand them a bottle of this. 👽🍷 Not because I think it's the best earth has to offer but because I think it's a good representation of what fermented grapes taste like. That being said, it is definitely on the sweet side but I think it's a nice blend. — 8 years ago
Dark cooked fruit, moderate tannins...could possibly go another 1-2 years. — 10 years ago
Great desert wine, wonderful sweet note at the end, perfect with a few semi sweet chocolate morsels to bring out the raspberry! — 10 years ago

Very very well done once again on the Syrah, New Zealand. This is a bowl of berries and someone cracked pepper on them put them in the sun. You’re eating them on a chilly sunny day. You’re hungry. The wine is doing a good job filling that void. — 7 years ago
