A real surprise for a vintage this year. Balanced, slightly tanic at end but will grow to a great year!

Cedar, malt milo, raspberry, yoyo biscuit and fresh Blackcurrant have been the aromas showing tonight. I do know this wine can show beautiful leather, stalky notes and earthy aromas but it simply did not last long enough. Precise fruit, tannin targets the front palate but acid plays a backing role. Great wine. — 10 years ago

Etna Bianco comparative wine study. Single vineyard: Milo. 3300ft ASL. Aged in large neutral french oak. 2010 was an amazing vintage for most of Italy, and Federico Curtaz gets Etna fruit. (A Winebow import, I should claim.) — 12 years ago

2020 spring. At least partly with fruit from Milo. Wildflowers, nice salinity - that petrol note doesn’t really emerge here, perhaps due to youth — 6 years ago
Minerals peaking out - served too cold and didn’t get to strut its stuff — 8 years ago
Put a bit of a chill on it, and it was singing like Milo. — 10 years ago
A sassy white with guava deliciousness everyone should try. — 10 years ago
Etna Bianco comparative study. Carricante - the motherlode of Etna whites, and Benanti is benchmark goods. Pietramarina is single-vineyard fruit hailing from Milo (same as Fessina). A great wine that everyone who loves the legendary whites of Burgundy, Mosel and the Wachau should add to their list of hits. — 12 years ago
