Meyer-Näkel

Ahr Spätburgunder 2018

Bright, translucent, fruit forward yet with the unmistakable Ahr light touch.
Bright, crunchy cherry with some darker accents, herby undergrowth, a touch of anise & orange zest, a whiff of milk chocolate. Highly inviting.
Fresh, sappy, pure and with great flow on the palate. Crunchy tannins, very juicy cherry acidity, and uplifting mineral finish.
Nothing overly complex or profound yet so delicious. Beats most Villages Bourgognes, at a fraction of the price.
And this is his entry wine!

Okanagan Valley Pinot Noir 2015

This is our entry level Pinot Noir, fruit from estate vineyard in OK Falls and three vineyards in SE Kelowna. Older seasoned French oak barrels, fruit and cherry on the nose. Well balanced - a lovely expression of an Okanagan Pinot. Drinking well now but certainly has a few more years. — 8 years ago

Spitfire Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Exactly what I have been wanting lately. It’s been a while since I’ve had an oaky Cab, especially one in which it’s properly integrated and not overwhelming. Every now and then that’s the expression of Napa Cab I want and this did not disappoint. Vanilla, fig, espresso, and silky dark fruits wrapped in lavender and herbs. — 8 years ago

Alsace Edelzwicker 2015

Nice gold-straw color. Nose is a little obscure at cellar temp but light citrus and tropical fruit really shine as the wine warms a bit. Bright acidity on the tongue Great mouthfeel-- almost chardonnay like. A lot of Malo for an Alsace which makes the wine a little heavy. Would go great with any white fish. In my opinion, aged just right. — 8 years ago
