With a hint of eucalyptus and a robust spicy fruit flavor this wine truly encompasses all that Mondavi can be. It truly sustains all temporal bounds. — 8 years ago
True grapefruit taste and smell. — 9 years ago
Perfect. Sweetness layer and integrated. The wine was out of bounds with great length and it's clear this can go another 30 years. Orange marmalade with penetrating silky mineralty this wine was perfect in any way we measure greatness. — 10 years ago
This has improved leaps and bounds from a couple years ago. The Merlot is singing! — 10 years ago
My love for Krug knows no bounds. Bready, yeasty notes jump out of the glass towards you but quickly soften into those of honey butter. Ginger and spice notes. Lees driven but well integrated with medium high acid. This champagne is so complex that it's almost impossible to truly detect where one note of flavor ends and the other begins. — 10 years ago
'14 Vintage. Been tasting Gaillac roses for years, and I must say they are leaps and bounds from where they were a decade ago. Fruity, with a watermelon nose, and tart cherry and in ripened apricot on the palate. Great US import future for these wines. — 10 years ago
Leaps and bounds the best tempier I've had. — 8 years ago
Can't drink enough of these. Buyer beware, they have bounds and bounds of raw Mosel power. — 8 years ago
Day one and minimal aeration I got a bit of balsamic on the nose and pallet. It seemed like peak may have passed. Still quite drinkable. Day 3 aeration (using the suction preserver) and the flavor is leaps and bounds better. Nose of earth and red berries, maybe even raspberry. Pallet is smooth (no tart or bitter flavor), more earth, silky tannins and more red berries. Not a thick Cab beast, but pretty, floral, and impressed with the turnaround. — 9 years ago
Crown Royal's Northern Harvest Rye is NOT standard Crown Royal fare. Northern Harvest Rye is leaps and bounds above any other Crown Royal product I’ve tasted.
Aromas of toasted nuts, pepper, burnt sugar, cloves and cinnamon waft up from the glass. It’s nice, complex, and a touch sweet.
The flavor mirrors the scent, but the pepper notes are dialed back. It’s a soft and smooth rye, not harsh, peppery nor astringent like some can be. A touch of biscuit (think cream cracker) is present in the flavors and it brings to mind a fine bourbon.
The finish is long, warm, and sweet. I’m pleased and surprised.
But unlike Jim Murray, I cannot say this is the best whiskey I’ve had all year. I’m not even sure it’s the best new offering I’ve had all year. Still: it's fantastic. — 10 years ago
Slightly out of bounds bringing a plusher, rounder mouthfeel without going to far.
Strawberry, tangerine on a salmon facade. Expected more dryness from tannat — 10 years ago
Soft, doesn't overstretch it's bounds. The fruit is precise, but not overdone. Excellent. — 8 years ago
Love this wine. Sylvain has made leaps and bounds in quality since I started working with him. Gorgeous nose. Red fruited granite infused very boisterous nose. Some nice chocolate and cocoa. Gorgeous lift and so clean. Palate is juicy and complex with wonderful elegance and terrific high quality tannin. So fresh and dazzling length. Terrific concentration and purity. This is totally showing out of its mind. — 8 years ago
12 years and tightly wound, but made leaps and bounds coming to the fore. Incredible rim to rim India black. Botanically rich in licorice and rosemary bordering on Ünderberg. Raspberry liqueur, blackberry jam and charred oak aromas mellowed by sweet madura tobacco and clove. Mint chocolate and vanilla, black currant, hazelnut coffee, and just enough smoke and graphite, to keep it complex and real. A powerfully structured wine from ancient, storied vines! — 9 years ago
Very nice! My love for Rioja knows no bounds. — 9 years ago
On a big #Sicily kick of late, this is a step or two up from yesterday in complexity and class. Another steal at $22-25 this is also a blend of Nero di Avola and Frappato. The nose started out reduced, but the palate was clean. The nose grew leaps and bounds after an hour to a fresh mix of red fruit perfume ala Burgundy, fresh cut flowers, and a little wet stone funk. The palate is light as a feather, fresh and consistent with bursts of blood orange, cherry, subtle spice. The finish streams on with excellent acidity and fine, though quite firm, youthful tannin.

This is their tete de cuvée and it shows! I am a big fan of Desperada and this falls right in line for me. There is a hair of residual sugar that is right at the line of where I like it - pushing all the bounds. Great job. — 8 years ago
