Deep pink color with a clean nose of ripe fruit integrated with gentle spice. Good bubble flow with vivid acidity and mineral tang mesh with raspberry flavors. The finish gives off toasty oak, nut and biscuit flavors that linger. Tasting Sample. — 7 years ago
Love the finesse here. Tightly integrated tannins mesh well with the acid. Well done! — 8 years ago
The 1999 Richebourg is a pinnacle wine, the sweetest nocturne, a walled-in garden of the soul. Heady, slowly unfurling layers of rose petals, dark loamy earth, mahogany wood, black cherry, crab apple, game, and forest floor. On the palate, pure silkiness knit together by a mesh of finely wrought tannins, it's timeless, graceful, pure—and at the end, a comet's tail of sediment in the glass. — 8 years ago
Shoe polish nose, wonderful mesh of red fruit and acid with a lovely complex balanced finish. — 8 years ago
2011. The nose is full of red berries, with a dark flair. Raspberry, cherry, and red currant are met with Grahm’s signature savoriness of roasted meat, beef jerky and black olive tapenade. The sip reveals that the ‘11 Cigare is a festival of darkness. The savory aspects come forward in a rush. The forest floor, the olive, the spice - all are cloaked in a dark fruit setting. Black plums, currant and berries work hard to mesh with the wine's earthy character. The acidity is remarkable and the tannic structure is firm. — 9 years ago
Amazing bouquet. So much showing with oodles of blackcurrant, cassis, leather strap and cedar. Strange to see such a mesh of primary and secondary character. Palate is lost from the nose unfortunately. Either not stored well or too old but an interesting 13 year old Cabernet. 90+ points — 9 years ago
This "Moscato di Saracena" (Calabria) Is made with a particular local variety of Moscato grapes, dried at the sun for the 85-90% of the total. This juice is then blended with a 10-15% of dry fermented mesh to balance the sweetness and then re-fermented. Hard to explain but pleasant to drink! — 11 years ago
Opened 2+ hours in a decanter. Sweet leather, tobacco. Cherry skin, ripe black cherry, rustic orange peel. Brown and orange secondary colors mesh perfectly with the settled red center. Great age. Medium bodied. Lovely elegance. Applewood smoked bacon. Acidity has relaxed over time. Drinking really well. — 6 years ago
Still not totally sure about this wine. Nice effort I mean its great wine, but it really didnt mesh with the other three for me. Balanced, but almost on a decline? — 7 years ago
What a way to end a night that was filled with all New World minus USA wines that totally rocked the house. This was brought out at the end of the night and it needs a good amount of air time. Swirling through the decanter, you get a mix of plum & baking spices but also more bright floral notes. Still quite young, it wasn't super tannic, but the fruit and oak still have a few years to mesh together. Should be excellent in 10+. — 7 years ago
Thick and rich! Dark maroon with a brown rim. Oak and leather push through the dark stone fruit aromas. All that aging has taken the edge off the tannins. Mellow for sure. Leathery and full on the palate. Used as a conversation wine at a gathering. Paired well with fruits from the tray, cheese log and Doritos. Honestly, for $18.99 cdn you can't go wrong with this. Lots of gold on the label and wire mesh give an elegance that makes the host think that it punches above it's price class. — 8 years ago
With a head somewhere between cappuccino and fine rosé champagne both in color and bubble. And a dark Amber body bordering on red, this powerful Sphinx tempts you near its maw. A mallard appears in my glass in the foam voids. There is a sweet cinnamon and cherry candy present, but also a marinated mushroom quality to the nose. You sense the granite jaw, and await the iron fist. But the gloves come off, and this model is lithe after a spin around the sun, exhibiting honey and tea, leather touches, finesse and power seamlessly mesh with a vanilla bean and sweet tobacco, cinnamon and toast component. Your tongue has a new friend! #northcoastbrewing #oldstock #agedbeer — 8 years ago
Color is a shade lighter, rose on the edge, garnet to deep garnet. Silky palate feel, tannins have mellowed to a finer texture, though mesh well with the less intense, but deep and persistent flavors. Blackberry, cherry, cinnamon, leather, forest floor(aroma), beautiful and persistent nose.

Had this bottle on the patio at Mesh-paired well with the pork chop! — 9 years ago
cherry, licorice, leather and spice flavors,
backed by serious tannins that mesh
well with the fruit and structure. The
finish displays tobacco and tea notes.
Best from 2017 through 2030. 4,000
cases made. (Dec 31, 2014 — 9 years ago
Deep purple colour. Nose of moss, blueberries, cherries and black pepper. Medium bodied, juicy, cool and fresh, firm cherry and berry fruit, a touch of slightly bitter herb and plum on the finish, fine mesh of tannin and lively acidity. Nicely composed, very drinkable. — 10 years ago
Opened and decanted last Wednesday night and it was very clenched and unyielding. Disappointed, I re-corked and then audozed for a couple hours before Thursday night dinner. What a difference a day and some air makes! This is just mind blowing stuff from @Fraser McKinley when it’s given the proper treatment. Impossibly concentrated dark fruits, a creamy textured core, creosote, blood, iodine and mahogany mix and mesh and tantalize the palate. Get some of his stuff. When you do give it ample time and if you can’t do that give it the air it needs. You will reap the benefits. — 7 years ago
Way too young. Fruit is ripe but doesn't mesh well with the oak. Overall impression: red berries, smoke, tobacco, peppery, dry leaves, decent acidity, mid-high but not-so-smooth tannin (needs time to soften), full body with good finish. Definitely have potential to blossom — 7 years ago
Real good. Talc, floral, lemon grass, grapefruit and lime. Lengthy in the palate, slight phenolic grip along with a saltyness all providing some real interest — 8 years ago
Newly-arrived 2014 vintage, and it is very good. Balsamic, sage, underripe black cherries, and herbs. Well-crafted, the balance, texture, alcohol, and tannin all mesh perfectly. Great with marinated chicken and pork skewers, including some with lots of hot chilli flakes. — 8 years ago
Sour cherry, pomegranate, & cranberry mesh well with black tea & sun dried tomato. Silky mouthfeel, subtle oak, and a lasting finish left me with a far more elegant Amador experience then I was expecting. — 8 years ago
Crisp, light, fruity and sweet, but dry at the same time. Possibly my favorite NZ Sauv Blanc to date, and that's saying a lot. I was honestly very impressed, and I didn't really expect much from this wine given its price and ratings on here, but I'm glad I gave it a chance. I had it with Tortellini a la Panna in a vodka sauce and a filet mignon. Though it didn't mesh well with the vodka sauce, I was surprised by how well it went with the steak. Seems like a wine that could go well with most meals. Enjoy! — 8 years ago
Bought this to drink amongst the vines. A crazy blend of gren PS and Syrah. Life changer blend. Hope some more intriguing of these start coming about. A bit jammy with a nice smoked meat flavor and a red black fruit mesh. Lengthy finish. — 9 years ago
This wine has a medium ruby hue, and will have to be run through cheesecloth or a mesh strainer due to the sediment. This wine has aromas of oak, black fruit, cherries, spice along with some earthy notes. In the bottle you will find a dry, medium minus acid, and medium bodied wine with medium tannins along with flavors of oak, black fruit, jam, vanilla, spice, and smoke — 9 years ago
