13 years in and still a joy (with a good bit of life left if you want to hold). Aromas of jammy black cherry and bacon fat. Lush cherry and blueberry backed with licorice and mocha, moderate buoying acidity and still-firm tannins. Yum! #tintadetoro #toro #spanishwine

Color is a shade lighter, rose on the edge, garnet to deep garnet. Silky palate feel, tannins have mellowed to a finer texture, though mesh well with the less intense, but deep and persistent flavors. Blackberry, cherry, cinnamon, leather, forest floor(aroma), beautiful and persistent nose.

Consistent performer over the couple of last years. Big wine for sure but it has a certain graceness underneath. I like this a lot.

Much better than my last bottle. Dark fruits with ample baking spices. Big wine and obvious oak influences but this was more imbalance than previous. Not too hot but some bitter tannin at the end.

Over stewed fruit overlayed with cloying vanilla and cedar. Disjointed and hot still.

Dry taste and fruity, very smooth as well. Highly recommended for Spanish wine.

2005 - Incredible aroma of black fruit and oak. Palate has too much oak until the three hour mark.
