Had this next to the Orin Swift Mercury Head. Thank God i put these next to each other. Although this chateauneuf is still about deep extraction and a muddy richness, next to the Napa cab it seems very refined. Went from the depth of the classic leathery ripe Grenache on the first night and the next day it tasted like caramel Apple with a side of fine minerality. I definitely enjoyed it more on day 2, but I feel like maybe because on the first night it just seemed too rich with the deep extraction and my palette was getting driven hard. I highly suggest giving it some air and taking it slow...that second day experience was very memorable and made this worth the money. — 10 years ago

Not bad. Hay, tropical fruit, dry hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is a little weird. — 10 years ago

For parker to rate the Janzen Beckstoffer & Orwin swift mercury head higher than this bevan's is ridiculously lame, — 9 years ago
