Fruit bomb. Lots of fruit — 7 years ago
Tasted at the new Geyserville tasting room. What a beautiful setting. The new silver oaks are really terrific wines. I particularly liked this 2014 Alexander valley. It was so true to its Cabernet roots and should glide effortlessly in the cellar for many many years — 7 years ago
Been drinking it since 1993! Bottle was under $30. Don't believe Davis Phinney in charge, but still yummy. Try his location wines too! Other top OS Saldo and Mercury Head — 9 years ago
Beautiful red fruit on the front. Lovely dark on the mid palate. Exquisite finish. — 9 years ago
Jam, jam, jam! This is he best ridge essence I've ever had. Last vintage was 2007. Amazing Jame doers, low alcohol and well balanced. — 10 years ago
Excellent, full body wine at reasonable price — 10 years ago
Had to try the 2016 vintage and I think it is better than ‘15. Of course it’s fruit driven but it seems to have more depth and be more balanced. Blackcurrant, vanilla, baking spice and some lightly bitter cacao on the palate. I think for the price this a great ‘heavy’ Napa Cabernet. A good Papillon should hopefully mean that there is a good Mercury Head to be tasted; looking forward to finding out. — 7 years ago

By far my favorite 100% tempranillo I've ever had. Great taste, limited tannic finish. — 9 years ago
Dark cherry wrapped in a delicate robe of smoke. Sweet and pure. Not clumsy like many Mercury wines. — 9 years ago
This wine was a knockout! Full bodied, great nose and fruit and an earthy feel. Best Carignane I’ve had. It doesn’t hurt that it’s from a historic old vine block at Lytton Springs. — 7 years ago
Dark fruit, smoke and dark flowers. — 9 years ago

Still young and red fruit forward- would still leave for another 5 years for more tertiary development. Small amount of tabbaco and forest floor on mid-palate..integrates tannins. Want nicely with a good hanger steak. — 7 years ago
