A virtuosic wine, distinctive and too good, too serious and too ambitious. Just too much quality for most people. — 9 years ago

Wow this gets petrol-y, like Riesling. Pretty delicious, Alvarinho with a touch of age. Anselmo Mendes is the man. — 12 years ago
A good and one of the best Alvarinhos available, made by the great Vinho Verde producer Anselmo Mendes. a fresh, dry crispy version with a slight concentration and oak character. Delicious stone fruits note with white flowers and spicy bite. 😋 — 13 years ago

Delicious Duoro — 8 years ago
Great summer wine. Not your average vinho verde. Much more complex, with a lot of character. Takes you non-stop to the beach. Very fresh, and easy to drink, with notes of citrus and fresh grass. — 9 years ago

Hells to the yes. Many thanks Paul Symington. — 13 years ago
Delicious. Is that the least or most useful tasting note? But this is. It’s is a rich dish that someone thought fit to squeeze a lemon on to brighten that dish up. The new oak is in play and probably the biggest factor, but the acid is there—somehow gently cutting through.
Something still keeps it from being transcendent but you are definitely going to desire a second glass. — 5 years ago

5,90€. Buenísima relación calidad precio. Albariño y Loureiro, espectacular combinación. — 5 years ago
Aromas of peach and tropical flowers. Soft acidity and mineral notes. Peaches and pineapple linger on the pallet. — 6 years ago

In 1912, Andrew James Symington became a partner in Dow's and today, five members of the fourth generation Symington family own and manage this historic house. 10 Years" indicates an average age – this Aged Tawny Port is a blend of older wines, matured in oak casts. Amber color with aromas of sweet dried fruits, citrus and nutty notes. On the palate sweet ripe fruit, vanilla oak, ending with fig and cacao notes. Smooth, Nice value. Tasting Sample. — 9 years ago
Usually don't like ports, but apparently that was because I hadn't tried the right one. Yum! — 10 years ago
