The 2021 Smash City is bright and floral with a wild blend of crushed strawberries, dusty rose, citrus and spice. This is juicy and fruit-focused, with crisp red berries elevated by traces of citrus under an air of violet inner florals. The Smash City cleans up beautifully, full of energy and perfumed, leaving the palate nicely refreshed. This lively Pinot Noir is produced with all Bien Nacido fruit. Quite light ruby , with a wide ruby garnet rim. Quite sweet red fruit at first with some raspberry , strawberry and red cherry notes , dried flowers as well , rose , violet and an earthy note . Quite elegant and precise . On the palate this is again elegant and restrained , very pretty red fruits , juicy but still fresh acidity . Light tannins balanced alcohol . Cherry , raspberry and wild strawberry . Herbal tinged , slightly earthy finish . Drinking very well now and will continue to do so over the next 3-5 years or so — 6 months ago
Tropical, pineapple, passionfruit. Excellent! Your tongue awakens with the tropical flavors including ripe white nectarines and orange pith. Good value. Bought at the winery!!!! surprisingly good for a 10 year sauvignon blanc. Tastes alive and fresh! Wow. — 8 months ago
Simply one of the best domestic Syrahs, from the storied Bien Nacido vineyard. — a year ago
We had the 2013 Vintage on 2/21-22/20. Bright red fruit on the bouquet. Tart cherry, strawberry and pomegranate on the palate. Bright and acidic. Good but not great. — 5 years ago

Medium lemon color, aromas of stone and citrus fruits with floral and mineral notes,
aged for 15 months in 64% new oak, rest in neutral oak. On the palate flavors of apple and pear with citrus wrapped in a nutty texture. Medium+ finish, lively acidity, ending with fruit, spice and savory citrus character. — 10 months ago
v13. Drinking well. Rich, smokey nose. Luscious bing and black cherry medley. Full, bright, round, earth and coffee finish. — 2 years ago
Easy drinker with nice structure for $20. A guy could do worse on Wed night. — 3 years ago
This wine has bright acidity, notes of citrus, green apples, yellow pears and white flowers. Which went very
well with the grill fennel with mustard seeds sauce and prosciutto, sweet potatoes, portobella mushrooms and skirt steak which was season with just salt, pepper and some mustard seeds. This wine is very well structured and the flavors are intense with earthy and mineral driving finish which went great side by side the stake. — 4 years ago

While its name doesn’t sound like an SB from NZ, it sure tastes like one. Pronounced passion fruit, a little green apple, and more lime than other Sauv Blancs. Refreshing and great value at TJs. — 5 months ago
