1991 vintage when Bruno D'Alfonso was the consulting winemaker. Brick red. Lovely integrated brown spice, anise, black pepper and red fruit. Wonderfully long finish showing coastal influence. Great longevity. — 10 years ago

Managed to get the dregs of this bottle. Savory bacon, dark fruits and saddle leather. Meaty, rich, black fruits with mocha and graphite flavors. Firm tannins and lingering finish makes this one of my favorites of the evening. — 11 years ago

Deep ruby color. Pure ripe berry fruit on the nose. Currant. Hints of oak Simple and not very complex. Tart cherry, on the palate, it has good acid and is bright and fresh. The lack of "size and jaminess" is appreciated in this wine. It's subtle, but nice and drinkable.

Delicious. Nice fruit without being 'fruity'. Hand picked grapes and sediment make it even better. Not as robust and dry as many Cabernet Sauvignon . Only 18 cases produced. I will buy more before I can't find it anymore. — 11 years ago
