1990: Coutet 'Cuvee Madame', a truly rare treat. Every sip was exciting. Absolutely perfect balance. Not as powerful as the '88 Cuvee Madame, yet made up for that with exceptional grace. Wow! — 10 years ago

Madame of the Chateau was there in the Joanne booth at VinExpo who was charming but this wine just shined even without her presence. Tasted more of Climens in Barsac. Elegant and just grabs your attention...super lengthy finish! — 11 years ago
Absolute loved this! Perfectly paired with fois gras and spiced bread. — 9 years ago
Super busy day selling wine on thanksgiving followed by a train ride to Connecticut before dinner and still the best holiday ever, thanks in no small part to Madame Ledru, whom I worship. — 9 years ago

Wonder if it is the signficant proportion of decade-old reserve wines that makes this one of my favourite standard non-vintage blends? It is always fresh, complex and interesting. Met madame C. Curie at the Clos who works at Heidsieck and got a run down of the business and an invitation for November. — 9 years ago
