This is a lovely Ch9dP for those who search for élégance and balance and rusticity. Blood, garrigue, iodine, salty licorice, spicebox, forestfloor and still some plummy fruit remaining. Touch of tangy orange zest bitterness. Very nice!

2008- an overlooked vintage that is in a beautiful place right now. Sleek, refined and elegant. Not the massive power of some vintages of CSJ, but wonderful balance and drinkability.
