Our friends Larry and Martie introduced us to this producer. 50% Ch and 50% PN, this is a blend of '99 vintage with reserve wines from '96-98. Malo is blocked. With only 2 gms/L sugar, this comes across Krug-like with great texture and length. Styled in an oxidative fashion in part due to the age of the base wines, Cuvée Louis is quite ample, mature and complex. Lovely — 10 years ago

AJ 99/100 - Questa annata ha scatenato un vespaio, e dal voto potete ben capire da che parte stessi :) Per me lo champagne definitivo malgrado 85 e 82 siano in realtà le annate "top", per altri sottotono, tanto che non sarebbe neanche dovuto essere imbottigliato.... Giallo paglierino tendente oro, naso complesso con aromi di sottobosco, brioche, marzapane, vaniglia, fieno, miele, lieve pietra focaia, tutto, con grandissima finezza e armonia, in bocca esplode con grande corrispondenza al naso, buono, pieno, sapido, grasso, finale...
