This was really lovely. Soft, but the fruit is still fresh and vibrant. A very special wine—happy it showed well. — 9 months ago
Baroque. Peach pineapple lychee apricot marmalade mange peel banana peel banana cream. saffron honey minerality. Off dry. 50? g/L RS. Phenolic finish. Low acidity. — a year ago
Nez et bouche épicé, très beau fruit aussi, bel équilibre en bouche, délicieux, des tannins encore bien présents avec une longue finale fort agréable mais ayant une touche asséchante. Très fidèle à l’appellation. 92-93
Blind tasting lunch 2009 theme. Nose and palate with gorgeous spices, nice balance, delicious and pure flavors with grippy tannins in this long but slightly rustic finish, very terroir like. — 3 years ago
Light and dry but funky, almost yeasty tannins mixed with berries. Distinct old vine Chilean varietals that I would like to see more of. — 4 years ago
Past prime but still very pleasant with a rack of lamb. Brownish edge pleasant dark fruit on the nose . Medium body modest fruit . — 6 years ago

Really great fruit purity. Definitely young but damp earth, cherry and cured meat were well defined. Palate was elegant and toned. 4-5 years would do this well. — 8 years ago

Pale lemon in color.
Aromatic nose of pears, apples, citrus, minerals, light honey and herbs.
Medium plus in body and refreshing, with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with apples, citrus, light apricots, spices, earth, light vegetables and sea salt.
This is a very tasty Pinot Blanc from Alsace. Nicely balanced and easy drinking right out of the bottle. Elegant and fruit forward.
Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food. I paired it with a grilled red snapper.
13% alcohol by volume.
90 points.

Very nice Bourgogne with excellent flavors and balance. Had with Ann’s birthday dinner. — 3 years ago
Blend of 70% Grenache, 17% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah & 3% Cinsault, deep Ruby with aromas of berry fruits, oak and floral spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberry with hints of oak, herb spice and floral notes. Wine was complex and elegant with smooth tannins, long fruit and spicy finish. Very Nice! — 4 years ago
Warm vintage cru Beaujolais sourced from a tiny plot in the Côte du Py vineyard. There’s a lot to be said about the fruit-forward spiciness, but for me the nuances are flattened by a richness I associate with a higher ABV - the wines that are coming to mind are Williams Selyem’s pinots rather than a Beaujolais or Burgundy. Not really for me but a worthwhile avenue to explore if you want to try a different, relatively subtler version of a big red. — 5 years ago
Really solid offering from Beaune. Still a hint tight but nothing a long decant will not solve. Nice acidity and hint of cherry showing through what I believe to be oak. Hubba! — 6 years ago

Part of the same generation as Verset, Gentaz and Trollat, Juge is old school Syrah at its finest. These rare bottles can be highly variable but this was the most perfect showing I’ve had from Juge. It’s everything you want from Syrah, vibrantly energetic, brimming with elegance and a wild complexity with earth, spice, wild berries and smoky minerals. Exceptionally balanced and detailed, this is perfect Northern Rhône. — 9 months ago
A bit pricey, yet what is not in Burgundy. Austere at first, then open to strawberry candy, a hint of farm, elegant, fine acid, wet leaves, young. — a year ago

Wowza this is good. 80% Roussanne, and it shows. I love that grape. Such richness, and though the acidity is low, there’s great mineral tension here. So rich and enveloping. — 8 months ago
