Medium plus in body and refreshing, with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with apples, citrus, light apricots, spices, earth, light vegetables and sea salt.

This is a very tasty Pinot Blanc from Alsace. Nicely balanced and easy drinking right out of the bottle. Elegant and fruit forward.

Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food. I paired it with a grilled red snapper.

Part of the same generation as Verset, Gentaz and Trollat, Juge is old school Syrah at its finest. These rare bottles can be highly variable but this was the most perfect showing I’ve had from Juge. It’s everything you want from Syrah, vibrantly energetic, brimming with elegance and a wild complexity with earth, spice, wild berries and smoky minerals. 2005 vintage on De 20, 2017 at Sun River, OR with skillet roasted lemon chicken (Ina Garten). Tasted alongside a 1999 Raptor Ridge Shea Vineyard to compare and contrast. Elegant and mature C-d-Pape at the peak of its life. Fully developed with a lot of great life left but also no need to wait to drink. This why we love C-d-Pape.
