This was from adorable Mar Vista (Los Angeles) cheese shop Wheelhouse. I bought a very pungent raw milk cheese called ‘Zimba’ - guy said hard to pair as such a distinctive tasting cheese. I picked this and it was a great pairing! It’s dry-ish, with a fruity element as well. Enjoyed it greatly! — 7 years ago

It was a very hot day on the coast of Los Angeles and this chilled Greek gem from the island of Santorini hot the spot. Crisp, light and citrusy with a steely minerality and a slight bitterness on the finish which literally stopped me from gulping it too fast. Paired with a German style dinner of pork schnitzel and potato salad. The cider vinegar and mustard dressing of the potato salad pushed aside the slight bitterness and bounced playfully with the citrus acidity of the wine. Riesling would have paired well of course, but I just adore an Assyrtiko. It makes me feel like I am on vacation. — 5 years ago
A little fizz, super mellow — 5 years ago
A favorite white. If we're going to go here, go HERE. Drank with Jeremy and Jackie the night before Thanksgiving at Wilde. 2nd bottle. A great starter to middle bottle. I don't like whites. I like this one. Los Angeles. — 8 years ago

Big bold California but well balanced and very ageable. I would prefer to drink this in 10 years. Good structure but very young. Too young to drink to the maximum at this point, yet still very enjoyable. Baking spice and juicy plum. Buy now and cellar! — 5 years ago

Enjoyed a couple of bottles of 2014 for dinner at Rossoblu in Los Angeles. Worked well with Italian food..,very smooth but light (more like a Pinot Noir). — 8 years ago
Had this wine in Los Angeles at Paley Restaurant on Sunset Blvd. tonight.....incredibly crisp and flavorful! Would highly recommend this wine. — 8 years ago
I'm not sure the world of fine beverages is ready for this but this is one of the most interesting culinary creations I have come across this year. This is absolutely a 'have this with food' drink. So refreshing. Such good value and culinary creativity on display. — 9 years ago

Drive by this winery all the time-located on Bear Creek Road in the Los Gatos Hills - Pale ruby color. Aromas of cherry, violets and baking spices. Gorgeous flavors of cherry and those baking spices at the finish. — 5 years ago
