Cellared since original release by wine benefactor. Lore has it Pacific Wine Company used to buy from G-D direct and bottle under their own label. Be on the lookout. Fantastic aromatics, a touch of Brett with some air, and gorgeous elegance, finesse. — 7 years ago

“A tale of two giants, our man Great Lord Suckfizzle roamed the earth drinking wine engaging in pointless irrelevant conversation with his rival Great Lord Kissmyarse.”
Wonderful Lore @stellabellawines ~ and a ridiculous value of a #wine!
Honeysuckle & acacia blossom, green tomato, peach & apricot, leans apple pie then switches back with a saline smack!

A decade old Cab straight from the mountains with murky lore? I'm here for that. Dark garnet with nice, long legs. Highly expressive nose of cherries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, and black coffee. Did I mention fruit? Because this thing is all fruit. It teeters on the edge of becoming a fruit-bomb but never actually goes over. The palate is true to the nose. All bright red fruit. All ridiculously delicious. Spice on finish with some really nice acidity. — 9 years ago
Fernet Branca is San Francisco's magical elixir of lore. Equal parts hangover prevention and morning after cure; it is an acquired taste but one that every San Franciscan must embrace. The traditional way to consume fernet is neat with a back of ginger beer. Sip fernet, sip ginger, repeat... Ask for a fernet and ginger as you wrap up dinner at any restaurant in SF and you will receive a knowing nod from your server followed quickly by your glass of fernet branca. — 9 years ago

This is really pretty. I need to explore that Alsace world more often. It's a land of grag and lore. — 9 years ago
Very nice fruit present whilst delivering loads of pepper and capsicum. Could have given it a minimum of 2 years lore age. Hints of game and leather. — 9 years ago

Just concluded our annual Fall seclusion at our cabin in the Rangeley lakes region of Maine, mobile service up there is mostly non-existent, after several days I am posting again. Notes are somewhat brief, as my focus is relaxing and watching the Common Loons swimming and diving in the cove in front of our camp.
Nose has dusty cherry, plum skin, red/green pepper mash, dry crushed slate, some raspberry but trending more to vegetal aspects.
Palate has ripe plum, ripe raspberry, some blueberry, dried blackberry, neutral (light) oak influence with almost fully resolved tannins.
The lore of Cameron Hughes wines is hard to confirm, supposedly this Lot is from the NV Stag's Leap District, but like most of these wines they are clouded in some mystery as to their exact origins, which was the intent of the winemaker. What I can confirm, this wine was much better 10 years ago than today. An interesting experience. — 6 years ago
