This 2011 vintage brilliant ruby in color, the intense, ripe aromas of berry fruit prelude a lush and full-bodied palate, gorgeous tannis and nice structure, good longevity. — 8 years ago
Friend brought this 32 year old wine we have celebrated with them for many years. Decanted and drank with t day dinner. Remarkable longevity with good structure and color. Impressive. — 8 years ago
Quite light for Côte-Rôtie. Smart and sophisticated with just enough red fruit to play along with the savory, umami character. Medium tannins and acidity and with plenty of remaining longevity. — 9 years ago
A little tight but showing good structure and promising longevity. Needs time. 2010 vintage — 9 years ago
Excellent, excellent WA cabernet dominant blend; shows Margaret River's dominance of Australian cabernets; shows tobacco and black fruits flavours; undoubtedly now dry with a tannin backbone rarely found in Oz cabernet; then juicy, taut acids too to show further longevity; drink til 2025; little colour dropoff — 9 years ago

Mo and I are doing ratings on this, and we may get into a bun fight...
Nose expresses spice box, cinnamon, maraschino cherries and a whiff of bell peppers. On the palette, the wine displays good structure. Tannins are not quite integrated. Typical Papillon profile on the palette. As Mo says, it lacks some complexity, and for that, I've docked a couple of points. For a 2010 vintage, I'm very impressed. It's held up well, and has some longevity ahead. Drink or hold. — 7 years ago
Cos is a wine I have only tried a few times. A collector darling, most who collect it are fanatic only about Cos. Kind of like how Pittsburgh sports fans if you are familiar.
These were both exceptional. The 2000 showed some tertiary aspects in the nose, less so in the palate as a strong, tannic structure bolstered my thoughts of much further longevity than the nose hinted to. Flush with the firm and chewy tannin Saint-Estephe wines sport for more time than their southerly Medoc counterparts. Plenty of layered, savory and pristine black and red fruits fan out over the structure.
The 2005 is even more complex and dense and I would have to think will age at a glacial pace as this was just getting going from what I could tell as it was showing so young and tight.

Brilliant example of Clare Riesling with lime & quince on the complex palate, all balanced by crisp acidity. Great potential longevity. — 8 years ago
Still a bit early to drink this one. Very little fruit on the nose even after some air time (subtle blackberry and cassis). Most present is the cracked pepper and earth. Hints of leather and strong acidity and tannins promise longevity. — 9 years ago
In a really nice place right now. Really great acidity that suggests more longevity but the fruit was really starting to dry out which makes me wonder... — 9 years ago
The longevity of P Michael Chardonnay never ceases to amaze me — 9 years ago
Quality. GREAT QPR! Beautiful color. Nice fruit on the nose. Sweet, substantial tannins. Good longevity on the finish. A great value and a solid producer. — 10 years ago
Impeccable balance. Blackberry, anise, currants, amazing longevity — 11 years ago
This burly beast has gained weight, incredibly, since last tasting. Lots of big brambly berry fruit, firm tannin, hints of asphalt, coffee grounds, and white pepper. Balanced, but lingering. Significant bottle life ahead, but as this wine has only existed since the '04 vintage, it's hard to guess the longevity. Drink or hold. — 7 years ago
Rich and mature. Hmmm. Makes me second guess the sponti talk on Mosel rieslings - I reckon it's probably to do with SO2. Quite a bit younger than the german rieslings in our little study the other day, but so much more advanced. Or maybe it's the sugar that helps with longevity in the german stuff.
Waxy, honeyed, floral, petrol notes, with the green apple and pear fruit playing second fiddle. Hint of aldehydes. Mineral and weighty. It was delicious! — 7 years ago
Medium ruby. Started off with black fruits and some black cherries. Opened up with some herbs and olives a few hours later. Lots of iron and meatiness on the palate, very savory to start and then opened up with some darker fruits like black cherries and underneath was a hint of spice. Moderate tannins (5.5/10) and medium bodied. This wine kept going with the long finish and longevity in days. Great QPR. Drink till 2024. — 8 years ago
Dark dark color, subtle tannins.... let breathe in decanter. Paired well with blackened mahi fish tacos with chipotle sauce! — 8 years ago
Outstanding. Very complex. Floral. Apricots and Violets. Finish is floral. Short longevity for this wine. Only drink no more then a year on the shelf — 8 years ago
2009 vintage and last bottle from my Eastern bloc pack that I got an age ago. Tastes like an aged dry Riesling. Wet stones, poached pears, yellow apple, musk melon that is overripe, petrol, and light smokiness. First run in with Juhfark and glad to see it uphold its reputation for longevity. Spontaneous fermentation and aged in large 1200L cask for two years. — 9 years ago
Really enjoying 2012 Chablis. Nice acid and longevity with the fruit. — 9 years ago
Smooth, drinkable - would pair well with anything. Had with a wonderful Italian meal.
Ruby wine club notes: The Cavallotto family claims sole ownership of the beautiful Bricco Boschis cru in the Castiglione Falletto district (also home to Azelia), where they have been growing Nebbiolo since 1929 and bottling their own wine since 1948. These richly structured wines place emphasis on elegance and longevity, attributable to excellent vineyards in the Bricco Boschis and Vignolo crus and traditional long maturation periods in large Slovenian-oak casks. After meeting and tasting with Winemaker and owner Alfio Cavallotto, I was incredibly impressed with his wines and thought his Dolcetto was one of the best I had tasted all year. This wine offers the crunchy red fruits for which Dolcetto is known for, with an element of licorice, and sandalwood. This Impressive effort will pair with just about anything, but it is highly fashionable with pasta and grilled meats. — 10 years ago
Dried cherry, strawberry, persimmon and nice silky mouthfeel with good acidity. Tannins are pretty stout at the back end lending itself to definite longevity. — 10 years ago

I like this better tonight than I did at the winery. Really easy drinking blend that has enough acid to work with food -- steak or lasagna would be great. But also great on its own. — 7 years ago
