Perfect Christmas wine 🎄🍷. Beautiful 6 putt #Tokaji Aszú from loess terroir. Smooth, elegant, full bodied sweet wine with perfect sugar-acidity balance. Fine botrytis character with ripen apricot, orange aromas. — 10 years ago
Best domestic Grüner I've ever had. Lots of green, ripe citrus and orchard fruits, lees influence, and varietal savories (lentil, radish, parsnip, pea purée). 12.7% alcohol puts this in ripe, clean federspiel territory. Similar to Prager or FX in style. There's something special in the Columbia Gorge, I think. Anyone know if this is loess over decomposed basalt in the vineyard? — 10 years ago

Barrel sample from their estate vineyard from McQueen vineyard this is the first year that they have fruit from this estate but they do buy fruit from pepper bridge lots of black currant black cherry liqueur like fruit with smooth and silky texture already with nice balance still unfinished bit it has been bottled. Excellent. 2010 15% merlot in the blend dark black currant and dark cherry liqueur like fruit with a host of fresh earth and toasty oak spice dark as port a touch of pine and cedar sweet tobacco spice and notes of caramel and dark earth big and chewy with layers of dark spice black berry fruit this wine is a blend of McQueen, loess, seven hills, lefore and pepper bridge dark noire sweet chocolate. 2007 was the first vintage around 500 cases today there are 3000 cases produced. — 12 years ago
Love the texture on this one. Foreal. Very refreshing and crisp with perfect acid level complemented by a very loess influenced creamy texture. — 10 years ago
Best under $20 supermarket Gruner of all time. The intensity and complexity of the wine owes to the sun-drenched loess soils and terraced vineyards of Kamptal. Thanks Terry Theise for finding this gem. — 10 years ago
Little more weigh from Kamptal (than kremstal).... Loess & Gneiss... 700-1500ft... — 11 years ago
Had a hard time putting my thumb on specific flavors. That said, robust & well-rounded, light mouthfeel, but fully coats the palate.
Smooth, great tannins, sour cherry, cedar, good longevity. — 11 years ago
