An extra year is nice on this 2013 vintage. A little more austerity but still a nice amount of sweetness. A lilt of lime and mineral. — 9 years ago
#autolysis sometimes I just want to tell you: THANK YOU for your yeasty, bread-y handshake, your reassuring weight and warmth. That you give my favorite sparkling wines their winking depth and exotic lilt: MERCI.
This one:
Shortbread brûlée, just picked peach, copper penny, kiwi, wet hay. Palate: high minus acid, haughtiness (in a good way), apricot preserve and limeade jelly. Medium plus length, good times and happiness. *nice* — 10 years ago
Quicksilver kid! Thanks for sharing the fun-quirky, generous notes of stone gumball, fuzz of white peach, lemon dust crunch and graphite shavings. Your Yellow marigold happiness, radish intermezzo, and fresh air composure bring a smile to my lips, a flutter to my olfactory. On the palate, your nervy embrace charms, your acid bite just piquant enough to keep me on my toes - mellower now that we've known you a few years - and your biscuit dough-limeade composure is one of a kind. Even your sucker-punch jalapeño-apricot-preserve note is more of an embrace, really...
Being cool like you are, OF COURSE wrap with a Tangerine and wet hay finale, that awesome acidic impertinence polished to a perfect lilt!! Then, just stony silence 😭
Geek notes: brilliant, w/ pale straw and green hue. High- intensity, transitional nose. High acid, med alc, med-long finish. Balances on the knife edge of sanity/insanity, just right. 💚

@Delectable Wine this is the 2013 Term Mosel Riesling made by Teutonic Wine Co. and Weingut Ackermann.
Awesome project. Small site Mosel Riesling in Teutonic's high and dry style. Florals lilt out of the glass. Laser sharp acidity, 🍑 and 🍐. — 8 years ago
White pear and apricot with toasted almond and a delicious baking spice lilt made this perfect to start aperitif hour with toasted baguettes and epoisses! Very approachable but pleasantly multifaceted; wonderful with or without culinary accompaniment. — 9 years ago
The nose of the 2010 Eyrie Original Vines Reserve Chardonnay throws me a bit, hence only 8.9 points. Opens with pitched notes of coffee grounds, an aroma I strongly associate with some malolactic strains, roasted nuts, toast and a touch of lemon zest. It feels somewhat closed, there isn’t a lot of fruit here, one has to dig to unearth subtle notes of Valencia orange and unripened pear. To its credit, there is nice texture and dimension, improved by minerally wet shell notes, and acidic lilt on the finish. — 10 years ago

I'd buy this one again. It has some interest for the price point. Toasty is the word I'd use. We did a tasting of pinots at various prices on the beach. Folks thought this one had a nice lilt to it and I agree. It works as a walking around wine. — 8 years ago
