2005: gorgeous wine. Lifted aromatics, white flowers, very terroir driven with stony chalky notes, deft touches of green apple, pear and white peach. Gently integrated oak. Wonderful mouthfeel, light phenolics, lovely vibrant acidity. Very mineral led style. Is what a Grand Cru Chablis wishes it could be... — 10 years ago
2005 Marcarini "Brunate" Barolo - Pale and hazy ruby. Upon opening it smelled like a whiskey barrel. 2 hours later the aromas developed into iron/bloody/stoney mineral, leather and powdery floral notes with ripe earthy cherry. Great acidity, medium herbaceous driven tannins carefully lifted by the alcohol. Lean and dry chinato-like flavors of orange peel and red fruits. Great bitter herb finish. Decant for 3 hours and Drink now or hold for 10. — 10 years ago
Violets, bacon fat, beautiful lifted limestone, white pepper on the nose. Gorgeous texture, minerals and dark black fruit. Still young, another 5-10 years to peak — 10 years ago
Lovely fruit sweetness, dry lingering finish. Equal parts syrup and zest, textural apricot and lifted green apple. A drink to make you happy. — 10 years ago
Lasted 15 minutes. Beautiful nose, fresh and lifted palate. Hints of funk and undergrowthiness. Nice work as always @Pax Mahle — 10 years ago
Seductive nose, ripe blackberry and a telltale white pepper finish with a nicely lifted finish. Cofermented with Viogner and very Delish. Was a wonderful companion to ribs and rain at Kirkwood. — 10 years ago

Rich vintage. After an hour started to really open. Rich palate, with ribbons of brightness. Aromatically became very lifted and a mixture of curry spices and bruised pears — 9 years ago
