Upon recommendation from the wine ship guy, i opened this 2-3 hours before tasting, which was good, except for tge fact that it got too warm. I popped it back in the fridge for 20 minutes and then it was perfect. Very fruit forward and fresh with a nice structure despite its youth (2017 tasted in August 2019). 2009v. Light gold color. On the nose: petrol, tart yellow apples, and a little lemon and tropical pineapple. That clean and juicy lemon comes through on the palette, too. Racy acidity, very dry, and a little salty on the finish. An intricate but delicate wine- best with simply prepared seafood or chicken, or with rich soft rind cheeses. Delicious. Grilled peach on the first swirl followed by deep Meier lemon and lemon zest flavors. Reminds me of PC/GC Chablis. Good — 9 years ago
2009. Some rich cherry liqueur from the vintage, some interesting cut grass notes in the palate along with big time fruit. Nose gives up a lot of leather--goes in different directions like Bordeaux or aged Portuguese reds with Touriga Nacional. Quite nice! — 9 years ago

Reticent on both nose and palate for 1st hour. Both unfurl with air. Meat, black fruit, floral on nose. Expands in glass. Palate fills out: nice whack of salty earth, iron, meat, black cherry. Buoyed by ripe tannins and sneaky acidity. No hurry here, but a very satisfying 2006. Re-buy, enthusiastically. — 11 years ago

Perfect for steaks. With black pepper fries. Peppery but strong and some complexity. Keep it for another couple years before drinking it. — 9 years ago
2012 wow. A big rich wine with plenty of earth and fruit and a touch of funk. Thought it would be lighter. But not complaining — 11 years ago
