Marvelous #structure #aromas of #blackberries and #cassis #charred oak. The berry bush in the most subtle and elegant way. Pleasantly surprised by this wine. I believe it has great aging potential. Great now and will be smooth and more complex in the future. — 10 years ago

Wonderful barnyard funk on the nose which persists even after 3 days of being open. Berries and chewy tannins on the palate. Really great food Bordeaux that could hold up to quite a few dishes and most importantly, doesn't lose nuance after a couple days like much lower priced Bordeaux. — 11 years ago

A real traditional heavyweight syrah, perfumed with lavender and green olive, plum pudding and cracked pepper. Mouthfilling and bold, very perfumed and streamlined on the palate. Good mid-palate concentration, and high acid despite 15% alc. comes across as both elegant and burly, plenty of length in the finish but not without tongue-numbing heat.
