Great hints of spice, mocha and chocolate. Enjoyed it so much I finished it and needed a second bottle! Haha — 7 years ago

Dark mahogany. M+ viscosity. Raisins, gigs, prunes, dried fruit, citrus, Christmas fruit cake. M+ acid, rich and full bodied. Mouth coating and a long lingering finish. A classic! Serve with a salty Spanish cheese plate! You'll be in heaven. — 8 years ago
Delicious! Very fruity and a mouthful! Yum — 9 years ago
Spicy, soily like the aroma of fresh dirt & chocolate sprinkles. I just enjoy this wine. — 9 years ago

I wish I was back in España sipping this wine with some olives and manchego!! — 11 years ago
Delightfully enjoyed with a Palisade Peach Skillet cake made by my dear sweet mother with great company! — 6 years ago
This was a nice surprise. Summery and tropical, sweeter than I expected but tonight that was perfect. Nice with salty grilled prosciutto-wrapped chicken, roasted potatoes, baby greens, and grilled pound cake with strawberries and whipped cream. — 7 years ago
Sitting on the roof watching the sunset. This wine has a nice aftertaste cherryish and a slight hint of chocolate. Its smooth and refreshing, I will drink it again. — 7 years ago
Fruity, full body, live it — 8 years ago
I love this, it's like a dry liquid coffee and walnut cake! Seriously pronounced, rich, nutty, low acidity, full body and super long finish. My new favourite sherry! — 8 years ago
Very rich and complex, with tones of dry raisins, fig, earthiness and chocolate in the nose. Very round and creamy on the palate, and dense tobacco tones in the aftertaste. Pairs fantastically well with layered chocolate cake. — 9 years ago
Love this wine. Was actually surprised by how much it actually tasted like angel food cake. — 9 years ago
Light, a little sweet, a little buttery and very soft. — 10 years ago
Best cake read for me on years, definitely on the upswing of late quality wise. — 10 years ago
Textured & elegant. On the whole, this is about finesse, but there is a lingering tension from the powerful fruit which adds the backbone here. This has a citrus-y edge to it which adds an extra layer of acidic structure to the lush orchard fruit. Beautiful wine. — 7 years ago
Light and yes a bit fruity. Nice wine with salmon and yes cheese cake. — 7 years ago
Smooth and spicy. Great with a steak and chimichurri Sauce. Affordable. Dark currant and tobacco. Let it breathe. — 7 years ago
For a healer wine, this is pretty smooth. Had a fruity finish. — 8 years ago
Super jammy goodness!!! — 8 years ago
violets, blackberries, black cherry and black currants...in a chocolate rum cake — 9 years ago
10 year Bordeaux...Bravo. The tannins have settled somewhat with the result being that this wine's structure, acidity, frame and finish are all in alignment. Rich dark fruits, cassis and Christmas cake. Such a joyfully smooth drop. — 9 years ago
My reading speech for itself. I enjoy it very much — 10 years ago
Brambly and a little gamey, showing dark juiciness and depth. Very complex, with a perceived fattiness of almond cake. Huge tannin, but balanced lingering finish. Very complex wine. 22 and change... — 10 years ago
Sweet and lovely. Super easy drinking. Tasted amazing (like cake icing!) with baked truffled eggs. Bought in Sauternes. 9/10 — 11 years ago

Having my dessert first. Co-fermented field blend of Alsatian varietals. Viscous texture, plenty of sweet flavors of course but not to the point of being cloying. Honey cake, dried apricot, orange, acacia, a little petrol and botrytis, acid is not front and center but playing a strong supporting role to hold things together — 6 years ago
