Well balanced - fruit to earthiness. Rich in flavor and color. Love. — 4 years ago
Earthy silk. Beautiful reddish color with a tinge of brown. Subtle nose, light body and low acidity. Very soft tannins. — 6 years ago
Lovely! — 7 years ago

Jahrgang 2008! Chapeau! Deshalb liebe ich Wein! — 8 years ago

Very nice Nebbiolo Lange. Age came through, still structured and nuanced. Excellent with pork chop au poivre — 4 years ago

Würzig mit leichter Süsse. Frisch im Mund und keine lange Säure. — 8 years ago
La Côte de lAnge is not a top Ch. Neuf de P label. But it is a quality label of of the second tier that represents a good quality to price ratio. One would think that 2010 would be a high point, and maybe it is. But even 2010 is not a superior effort. Very intense, yet undefined, purple fruit and lots of menthol. It’s a pleasant and even intense drink. Nothing wrong. But not the highest expression of the terroir. — 3 years ago
Big, dark, leathery, bought from the vineyard — 6 years ago
Perfect Pinot! Great nose & smooth as silk! — 7 years ago
Damn, past its 14 year birthday, showing some green pepper/vegetal notes, slightly barnyard. Not what I was expecting, those are notes for a younger wine. We'll see how this evolves over the evening...
So we're on to a cherry/plum profile now, reminiscent of many Anderson Valley PN's we've enjoyed of the same age. Very nice to say the least, always intrigued by how much a wine can evolve in a glass.
24 hour update: Amazing wine, picked up a beautiful cocoa note over top of dried cherry, wishing we had one more bottle. — 7 years ago
Shout out to Whaler on Jackfish for gifting us this great wine! This is classic Willamette Valley pinot noir. Dusty, earthy with hints of cherry and strawberry and the slightest touch of pepper backing it. — 8 years ago

The nose opened with ripe blueberry and raspberry, but okay elements quickly took over. The theme continues on a very plush palate. Silky tannins.
Underwhelming for a flagship bottling. — 2 years ago
