Lemon pith and custard without the sugar. Just amazing, esp on Mother’s day. Reminds me of Landmark chars but even better. — 6 years ago

So I've stepped up since the plonk on holiday. I find this amazing. — 8 years ago
Deep, smoky, earthy nose. Aromas of plum, black pepper, black olive, cocoa powder, tar and dried herbs. Surprisingly young and fresh on the palate. Flavors of black cherries and plums lead to dark flavors of dusty, dried herbs, earth and a touch of tar balanced by striking acidity. The finish is long and smooth with just a hint of spice and drying tannins. Reminiscent of a wonderful Tuscan red. — 8 years ago

Charles and I enjoyed this wine...but we were thinking...where is Lisa??? She would love this Pinot — 6 years ago
Dark aromas of black olive tapenade, wet earth, black plum, black cherries and cracked pepper. Bright, juicy and peppery on the palate. Juicy flavors of cherries, black plum and pomegranate lead to notes of black pepper, oak, and spice layered with bright acidity. The finish is long and spicy with touches of earth and black fruits. Excellent paring with sausage risotto. — 7 years ago
Re-review of this classic landmark beer, why? New label, new description on label, this was and still is such a important beer in the craft beer Community, brewed since 1997 and still stands as one of the best IPA' s in the world, Centennial, Chinook and Magnum hops give it that classic base of West Coast IPA, that started the whole IPA movement in other beers and breweries, this was the beer that set the stage for what is now the great IPA 's in the west and east coast, such a monumental and important beer, The influence cannot be understated, still as I said, it holds its place as a great beer today — 8 years ago

This is a sneaky little wine. Mint and leather on the nose, but not in high degree. Dried cherries on the front, but not enough of those flavors to make it fruit forward. A light to medium tannic structure that is neither puckery nor velvety. Ending with lingering soft high notes. At first I wasn’t really paying attention to its unpretentiousness, but then I realized that every landmark in my mouth was pleased and smiling. It’s like one of those subtle Grand Cru Bordeauxs that, once every decade or so, give us something brilliant and memorable. Well, after that spiel, I should probably give it a 10.0, but I’ve never tasted a 10.0 — so I’m giving it a 9.8. I can’t think that I’ve given anything more than 9.6. So take it from me that this is a pretty fooking great wine! — 5 years ago
