The basic Riesling from this winery. One of the most consistent quality wineries in the Finger Lakes. The tasting room is worth a visit with classic architecture and great views of the lake. The Riesling has a very discernible finger lakes terroir, with some flint to balance the fruit. Dry but not austere. Really very good and great value. — 6 years ago

@David A Lentine opened this tonight with dinner. Wow, thank you so much! This is Sequoia Grove at its best. It's just perfect now, all the tannins have fully integrated with flavors of cassis, blackberry, with some cherry and herb at the finish. Brilliantly balanced. So happy to have tried this wine before it lost anything. Great example (and reminder) of why I love Sequoia Grove. — 8 years ago
