This was a surprise for its price point and popularity. Very complex. Dark fruit, violets, tobacco, leather, prune, intense. Carries brightness and plenty of structure. Really enjoyed it. — 5 years ago

Had this at Rumis kitchen with Maggee! Delicious — 7 years ago
Blackberry, smoky. Deserves to be open for like 45 mins before serving. — 7 years ago
Trevlig svalodlad chardonnay. Många fina lagar av doft och smak. Snärtiga äpplen, hasselnöt, torkade söta kryddor, grillad exotisk frukt, flinta. Lätt oljig textur med långt avslut med riktigt bra syra. Nästan chablislik! — 4 years ago
All native Portuguese grapes made a very good wine. Rich, floral, and tart. I’d almost call it savory. — 5 years ago
Very nice. A little spice. I love getting my weekly emails from Vin Chicago. Even if they try to lure me outside my price range — 6 years ago
Importer notes are more descriptive/educational than my own: "A blend of Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Jaen and Baga from the granite soils of Quinta do Corujão. The Touriga Nacional is foot trodden in lagar, while the Alfrocheiro, Jaen and Baga are fermented in stainless steel tank at low temperatures with little extraction. Aged for 12 months 30 percent new and 70 percent used French oak barrels."
Deep purple/violet color, nose of cassis/ripe plum and wild flowers. On the palate, it is fresh with soft tannins and practically no acidity, with its very velvety texture.
Absolutely stunning pairing with our local, grass fed Angus burgers, nestled into the best Sourdough buns your ever dug your teeth into. (Our local baker from France is a crazy Sourdough guy, he does everything with it; Pizza crusts are other-worldly!) — 7 years ago
100% Pedro Ximenez from vineyards in Moriles Altos, one of the top areas within the Montilla-Moriles appellation. Vines are rooted in albariza (tosca hojaldrada) soils. Aged for an average of 3 years under flor in the solera system and bottled en rama (unfiltered). Intense nose with notes of toasted almonds and yeast. Sharp, very dry and saline on the palate. A very powerful and sapid, quite persistent wine. Umami 💣 — 3 years ago

Dark fruit, rich, full body. Good tannic grip at the end. Very enjoyable & approachable wine. In the December CSA bag @Monarch — 7 years ago
Very crisp but still goes down easy - I'm a fan — 7 years ago
M'ha agradat molt veure que els anys han suavitzat molt l'acidesa, han intensificat el color, ara és força daurat, i que la fruita blanca ha donat pas a pomes al forn — 8 years ago
