For orange wine enthusiasts, the 2012 Kabaj Sivi Pinot, technically a Pinot Grigio, is this intriguing Slovenian example. Extended skin contact followed by full malolactic fermentation and aging in French oak barrique have endowed this wine with it's orange hue. The aromatics are subtle and layered—a fusion of cling peaches, decaying rose petals, and coriander. On the palate, oxidative notes are married to nervy acidity and pleasant, slightly bitter flavors of pear seeds, dried pink grapefruit peal and saline-rich minerality. 12.5% ABV | Sample — 10 years ago

Ne znam kakva su ostala vina do 10 funti na svijetu ali ovo je dobro. Jako dobro. Vinčina. Kompleksno i puno, alkoholno i raznovrsno. 70 kn je smiješna cijena za probati ovako nešto i vidjeti kako stari majstor Ivan Enjingi radi svoj posao. Ostavit ću još 3 butelje koju godinu da omekša i zaokruži se. Traži neku hranu, dobru i botatu. Vino koje nam je u novogodišnjem vinskom maratonu podiglo raspoloženje. I had this particular vintage several time and it is evolving beautifully.
Quite massive and juicy years ago, it's becoming more terroir driven and organized. Eucalyptus, Indian spices and a beautiful smokiness is present and the mouthfeel is dense, juicy but noble. Barrique is very well integrated with nice velvety tannins and a nice acidity — 11 years ago
