Vanilla, marzipan and cherry on the nose, with a hint of oak in background.
Relatively high acidity on first taste, but very smooth with soft tannins — 7 years ago
Extremely hearty and fruit toned Rose. Medium to full bodied wine that I did not expect. Very different! Enjoy this immensely. — 10 years ago

Funky stuff. Aromatic but lovely texture — 6 years ago
Drank 7/25/18. Paired with grilled lamb chops and a red wine reduction.
The 2nd wine of Domaine de Chevalier, one of my favorite producers from Pessac-Leognan. Like many of the other wines in the 2012 vintage, it seems to have a bit of a leg up on similar quality wines from the Medoc
Nose of sweet black and purple fruits with wet rock and a little soil. Dark fruits and plums mingle with black cherry and a touch of spice on the palate, that is very well balanced, yet perhaps lacking some of the fruit concentration of the grand vin. Finishes with dark fruits and drying, yet well integrated tannins. A very well made wine that has a silky mouthfeel beckoning you to drink another glass.

Commence à bien se goûter, sur les fruits rouges un peu cuits, les épices. On sent bien le mourvedre. Très digeste, aucune lourdeur solaire,. Gros potentiel. — 8 years ago
Gros plaisir avec ce super gamay nature. Pas besoin de réfléchir ni de se torturer l'esprit on profite du fruit. Confirmation du coup de cœur sur le salon. — 8 years ago
Fresh and youthful, the sensation is that to grasp a handful of freshly picked raspberries in the forest. Very clean, focused, with a good nerve. — 6 years ago

Another 4th Friday for the books! What a variety this month!
I’ll be honest...I was flat out shocked how well this drank this young. I gave this maybe 30mins of space before drinking and it was incredible. Lush fruits on the nose...sweet blue fruit, rhubarb, lavender on the finish. Superb. — 8 years ago

I was writing a long and detailed tasting note, but I got distracted and @Delectable Wine deleted your tasting notes when the app refreshes. So suffice it to say that it’s got medium(+) intensity aromas and flavors and the tannins are ripe medium(+) tannins. Smooth and with plenty of complexity to drink and think. #stemiliongrandcru #stemilion #bordeaux #merlot #cabernetfranc — 5 years ago
