Still tingles with citric acid on the tip of the tongue, but opens up into a sweet, round, perfumed wine with a big body and viscosity. More grapefruit pith this time than tangerine. Too sweet for me, but a customer looking for sweet would be delighted by the subtlety here. — 9 years ago

Huge South African Shiraz. Deep dark color...deep earthy full mouth feel. Really a great, classic representation of Stellenbosch big reds! Lovely. Reminds me of our time there....makes me long for a bush walk in the veldt of Kruger Park — 9 years ago
A great expression of Riesling. Funky at first but blew off to a really great wine. High acid, some RS & about As classic as you can get. — 10 years ago

With the Gorgonzola gnocchi it just melds! Still bright and lovely! Seasons my gnocch! — 12 years ago
Can't recall where I found this bottle, but happy to "rediscover" it deep in my cellar. Honeysuckle and Granny Smith apple still prevalent on the nose. Very nice at 18+ years. — 8 years ago
Toasty aromas with some pear skin. Very clean and crisp with just a hint of unctuousness. — 9 years ago
Razor sharp, lemon zest with stone fruit and wet stone. Yum! Dances in your mouth, lingers pleasantly. All the stuff I want out of a Riesling. — 10 years ago
I guess this will be my drop of the summer. — 11 years ago

Recommended by a wine store clerk in Johannesburg and enjoyed in Kruger. By my count, only 11 or so barrels of this made. Dusty library nose, cassis, leather, and oak. Lovely wine. — 8 years ago
