R Eiswein Kreuznacher Paradies. Apple dominated, orange peel and lime. Touch of caramel, mature but still very fresh — 8 years ago
Structured balanced rich dry R. Big Food friendly style — a year ago
Very Burgundian, with a classy nose of good quality wood & citrus, with a hint of stony minerality underneath.
On the riper end (PB, PG & CH blend), but really nicely balanced with fresh acidity and a round, creamy mouthfeel.
Really nice and dangerously drinkable!

Nahe really nailed it in 2021!
So expressive on the nose with ripe exotic fruit & lemons but also with minerality and stony austerity.
On the palate zippy, stony with lemony acidity and a herby touch. But there’s also some roundness and purity of fruit which fills out the austere frame. Beautifully balanced and so expressive at just 12% alc.

Had the 2016 vintage. Quality wine, easy to drink. Sweet without being overbearing and still tastes crisp. — 5 years ago
Amber and orange in the glass. Nose is a tad shy or mute, but on the palate this very, very tasty. Lovely nuances of apple syrup and grilled peaches, unctuous and suave. And although it lacks the laserlike focus and penetration that Riesling TBAs often show, it has a wonderful freshness and is dangerously drinkable. Good stuff!

As often when the temperature rises and the days are getting longer I have a German Riesling itch. Conveniently my wife was on a business trip in Germany this week and brought back some bottles for us. The nose shows chalk, lemon, lemon zest and a bit of a petroly touch. The palate, as expected, shows a massive acid drive, making it a very fresh, almost electric wine with a superb tension. Lemon curd and lemon zest notes blossom all along, it’s almost that lemon meringue pie that I crave from back home all year long (if you haven't tried it yet, look for it, it's divine). The finish is fresh, long lasting, focused and gentle with these lemon curd notes. If I had to complain about one thing, it would be that I would have loved even more tension. Good stuff though. — 4 months ago
