As you swish the wine around and send your nose to the rim of your glass, a hint of smoke alongside a whiff of spice will tingle your olfactory. Now take that glass and touch the wine to your lips and take the smallest sip while breathing through your nose to be hit hard by 2 of your senses. Now your taste buds will get a rush of oak and black cherry that expands the tongue and moistens the cheeks. The wine will slide down your throat coating every inch with a smooth, buttery texture. The alcohol content hitting you in the deep throat resembling a higher than average alcohol content. This wine is extravagant, but if you have too much at once, the tannins will turn you red. This wine is marvellous and the price tag definitely will reflect that. — 7 years ago
I thought this was wonderful and an amazing bargain at $14. Dark purple with some staining and medium+ viscosity on the eye. Nose sees sour cherries, palette sees jammy fruit, blueberries, and delicious round tannins that are an absolute joy to swish around in your mouth. Great wine, great value! — 8 years ago
still so young and just beginning to show with lots of applied air (swish swish) — 8 years ago

Right from the start when you open the bottle and smell the cork, you will get the smooth oaky scents that are entangled throughout the wine.
Pour a bit of wine into a glass and swirl it around and around. Now take your nose to the glass and that rich oaky and vanilla flavour will pleasantly fill your airway.
Okay let’s get to the good part and sip, sip, hooray!
Swish, swish, bish and down the hatchet we go.
This wine will send you a slow yet full bodied flavour of cherries and spices then will develop into a man interesting deep tobacco and smoky aftertaste. This smoke flavour reminds me of the sipping Mescal from Mexico.
This wine also has lingering tannins that go well with the lingering taste. Yummmm!
I hope you can enjoy this wine as much as I have! — 7 years ago
Velvety, dry, fruit, and some pepper. Needs a good swish in mouth to open up all the layers — 7 years ago
Watermelon, wet earth and pepper up front with cherries after a swish of the glass. Bright red cherries and fruit punch on the palate with great white mineral crisp on the finish. Great rose for CA. #westofwest — 8 years ago
Delicious right out of the bottle, vanilla notes dark cherries. Even better after 30-min. Take a big mouthful and swish around. — 8 years ago

Let’s take this glass on a magical journey!
The wine has been aerated to a 3 hour aeration.
Now, pour a little red in that glass and begin to swirl it around. As you swirl, put your nose up to the glass and take an inhale. Ah yes, that smell must be heaven on earth. You will smell notes of oak and this may be weird but also notes of delicious brand new rubber. Wow that was definitely pleasing to the senses.
Okay, let’s get to sipping the wine now and continue this magical journey of the senses. Take a sip and swish it around the mouth then drink. A mouthwatering sensation will follow your sip, along with many fruitful flavours and a warming blissful feeling down to your stomach.
My favourite taste about the wine is definitely the American and French oak in which the wine was aged in for 20 months. I hope that this experience is just as blissful for yourself as it has been for me. Enjoy! — 7 years ago

#atlasofwine felt like taking a good picture tonight! I've been calling Atlas "The Superlative Kitten" because of our calling him the fluffiest, handsomest, cuddliest cat. He's also the most photogenic. (Proud dad disclosure.) McLaren Vale shiraz here and a darn good one! Loaded up on the lavender/violet, ripe forest blueberry jam with fresh cracked white pepper, dare I say eucalyptus, mint jelly, sandalwood. The palate delivers fresh dark fruit and is drier than expected. 👏🏼 — 9 years ago
