Delicious Sauv Blanc. Top of it's class. Smooth and not too tart — 8 years ago
Awesome recommendation from our local wine guy. Hadn't heard of if before, apparently it's a newer project from Kirk Venge. It's the Chardonnay but Delectable doesn't seem to have it in their database. Complex nose and palate of flowers, minerals, slate, apricots, mint, brown butter, blah blah blah. Basically, too many to list, but I like how it tastes a little different each time. Really nice acid and viscosity. Sure to age well. — 9 years ago
The Canberra district's best red wine. Opulent with a heady perfume of raspberries and cassis. A smooth palate with dark plum, cherry and berry flavours. Tim Kirk is an impressive winemaker. — 4 years ago
Drinking nicely. Lighter profile. Turkey friendly. — 6 years ago
Easy drinking, hints of citrus, very smooth, low acidity, very nice — 7 years ago
Big tannin structure/oak component with the fruit kind of playing second fiddle. Actually gave it a higher score last Christmas (maybe more fruit?). Def a cab style merlot. Already developing secondary characteristics. Herbal notes. Somewhere between the 89 spectator score and 96 wine enthusiast score.
Next day: actually improved. Fruit showing more. — 8 years ago

Lighter scented than the 18. Big, big oak and roasted vanilla notes w/spice on the finish. — 9 years ago
Consistently one of my favorite wines. Sadly, it was my last bottle. — 11 years ago
Blackberries, cherries at the start then smoothly blends into a spicy tone with touch of chocolate, oak, and followed by medium tannins — 7 years ago
Pure pleasure. Rich black plums and vanilla, smokey mesquite. More than happy for everyone to keep leaving beautiful mature merlot on the shelf for me to find. Oh yeah and shout-out to @Ellen Clifford for inspiring me to pop this — 7 years ago
Beautiful wine soft and a true Sangiovese flavor ruby color — 7 years ago
Such a huge fan of this winery. Uncut grass, a clean barn, white flowers, honeysuckle. On the palate, medium-light, brine. Well made. Rustic yet fresh. — 7 years ago
@Kirk Alexander going ham. Soft inviting tannins, Merlot is shining through and an altogether harmonious classy wine. Cigar, ripe plum and cedar chips. — 7 years ago
"Bad Ass in a Glass" is quite accurate here. Poured from a double magnum, this was a big wine that had people smiling and buzzing (in every sense of the word!). Globs of dark fruit, silky smooth, a touch sweet, but so well integrated.
Thank you @Martin G Rivard and @Christine for an epic 48 hours and for opening your home last night for the Super Bowl of wine tastings (and for the four different types of grilled cheese sandwiches that magically appeared toward the end of the night!).
While the wines shared last night literally were the best of the best, so too were the folks I had the pleasure of seeing again and meeting for the first time. Thank you all for making last night so memorable. I look forward to staying in touch and sharing a glass (bottle?) with you all again in the near future.

Deep ruby color. Aromas of black currant, black cherry and leather. Flavors of dark fruit and back tea finish.
With a pinch of (9%) Cabernet Sauvignon.
