It’s always a little nerve-racking the first time you invite a date to a favorite restaurant. Is he going to like it as much as you like it? Probably not possible. But then you sit down to wait for him and order yourself a snack and end up chatting with the woman next to you for the 30 mins it takes him to show up and she whips out her OWN bottle of the best wine you’ve had in months, who cares how well the date goes. This wine is simultaneously supple and subtle, and holds its own in a current of too many fish. — 6 years ago

Juicy and bright with plenty of funk. Not at the most "extreme" end of the natural spectrum, but very cloudy with a touch of barnyard at first. — 7 years ago

Great Gamay — 7 years ago
Fat and vinous with a balanced edge to it. Obvious and overt aromas/flavors of fruits, dough, honey, sweet citrus/apple notes. Weighty. 70% PN 30% CH 4/2015 disgorgement — 7 years ago
Saftig och härlig! — 8 years ago
An intoxicating perfume of winter spice. Similarly, Allspice, clove, cinnamon, orange spice, and blackberry on the first taste. Balanced and pure. Unlike any Gamay I've tasted. — 9 years ago

2009, Julie Balagny, En Remont, Jean Barrat, Fleury, Gamay. No notes, but an excellent Cru Beaujolais. Red fruit, a little spice and a little earthy. Great story about Julie Balagny. Took her dog, got a vineyard, works it all by herself and makes great Cru Beaujolais. — 8 years ago
A muted cherry front that leads to a spicy silk sheet finish. Well balanced with a long delicate finish . A great new face from Burgundy. Savor the flavor of this age worthy Pinot before it's gone. Take three home today! — 8 years ago

Had issues with the cork but no taint or brett. The 2007 is full of ripe fruits with notes of blackberry cobbler. Nice structure still showing good tannins on the back end. Drink now, if you have one! — 9 years ago
