Stunning concentration, at first lean and taught with juicy and bright acidity. After an hour in the glass this has grown tremendously. The nose is like a Black Forest cake, chocolate cake and cherry aromas galore. The palate is richer, the spice and meaty flavors are drenched in cherries jubilee, blackberry pie too. A crazy long finish with ripe tannins that barely feel like they are there. All of this is well balanced and not a trace of oak. I would like to try this again in a few years after it sheds the still plenty baby fat! — 11 years ago

Wow this is rich & hearty Morgon. Needs mucho air time, but after three hours fruit really came out- crushed cranberry, raspberry preserve, cherry jubilee, red/candied apple. Almost like a Sonoma Coast Pinot, but with the meaty masculinity of Gevrey-Chambertin. Pencil shavings, salami(Spam?), and dried up rose petals. More tannin than I've ever had on Gamay. Hidden ridge is always amazing just a well rounded full bodied good wine does not disappoint. I didn't let it aerate probably could have but still great from the bottle! Bubbles fourth with a mulberry flavor and cherry jubilee and a floral bouquet on nose really nice! — 10 years ago
