Very light and dry, not too fruity. Great Rose — 6 years ago
Pre Thanksgiving dinner. Preferred it to Beau Joie Brut ( 2 To 3 times the price)! — 7 years ago
Quite nice Chardonnay, do quite excellent wine! — 7 years ago

Nez de fruits rouge et champignon. Bouche puissante, longue, ronde. Pas une complexité de fou, mais pas trop de bois, ce qui suffit à ma joie. 20/25e la bouteille. Intéressant. Bonne image d'un bin bordelais pas trop parkerisé — 8 years ago
Great flavour, fruity but almost deep like desert — 8 years ago

Color : White
Wine estate : Domaine Louis Bovard
Designation : Saint-Saphorin
Name : Salix Chenin Blanc
Country : Switzerland
Vivino : 4.5/5
Note : Louis Bovard remains the boss in the Vaudoise region with this magnificent Salix. A pale yellow color, a mineral nose with a touch of citrus. On the palate, happiness, joy and wonder. More seriously, a nice roundness with salty and fruity notes. Just magic!

Juste magique !

Great nose, almost something to get lost in. Roasted raisins, apricots, sweet thyme. Dry, heady, nose to die for and then..::: flat. Still a joie to drink, — 8 years ago
Smooth with some bite. Really enjoy this one. — 8 years ago
Excellentes bulles , fines et délicates mais fraîcheur incroyable en bouche ! 30$ — 8 years ago
The 1989 La Conseillante is one of the top performers in Pomerol and arguably now one of the best values. This bottle confirms that exuberance and joie-de-vivre on the nose, displaying the telltale crushed violets in bloom, with precious but controlled red and black fruit underneath. The palate is sumptuous from the start, presenting cashmere tannin and perhaps a little more glycerine in this bottle. The bravura finish leaves you grinning from ear to ear. Stunning, and it will remain on its plateau for many years. Tasted at the 1989 Bordeaux dinner at Hatched in London. (Neal Martin, Vinous, September 2019) — 6 years ago

Mild but nice ping of passion fruit. £13 from Harrods. Very good. — 7 years ago
The 2014 Léoville Las-Cases has a (typically) more introverted, tertiary, austere bouquet compared to the Léoville Barton. Despite coaxing it does not possess much lift – sullen, a wine with a "Closed" sign dangling on the front door. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, solid with a sweet core, nicely proportion but just not quite conveying the same joie-de-vivre and energy as its peers. "Perhaps it is saving everything for later?" are the words I penned before this wine's identity is revealed...well, I should have known. Tasted blind at the annual Southwold tasting. Never disappointed with this Alsace-inspired blend from Okanagan which includes Gewurtztraminer, pinot blanc, pinot meunier, riesling and a touch of muscat. Not as sweet as one might think. Clearly on the young side but perfect with a steelhead trout. — 6 years ago
