Peppery, herbal, fresh raspberries. Great value. — 6 years ago
Day 2 notes as on day 1 I wasn’t paying that much attention. Very mineral and green herbal. Nice rocks as well. Good detail and depth. Nice lime and lemon. Very precise aromas. Palate has all types of gorgeous bitter citrus fruits with some hints of apricot. Nice mouthfeel and richness while while also being mineral and finesse driven. Terrific. — 7 years ago

Don’t think I’ve had a German Zweigelt before. And from the tiny but intriguing Württemberg region no less. Lean, acidic, and spicy. As always with Zweigelt, very easy to drink. — 5 years ago
Campus Liquors tasting Red German.
Nice and light. Really liked.

Under-rated by this crew. Terrific balance, combines rich floral fruit with acidity and tense structure. Very nice. — 7 years ago

Snappy! This wine brings the pop. Great acid and dryness at its core, this builds the framework for this wine’s structure and ability to hold greater complexity in its expression of fruit. Lemongrass, ripe grapefruit, candied kumquat, slate, and petrichor zip across the palette. I’ve had other bottlings from this producer in mixed vintages but this one clearly rises to the top in 2014. At a great place to enjoy now. Grip & rip. One for the acid freaks — 6 years ago

Jochen Dreissigacker's baby Riesling. The young winemaker from Rheinhessen region in Germany is respectful of his soils, using natural methods, limiting yields, harvesting by hand and vinifying using only indigenous yeasts. This 2014 Riesling reveals citrus, melon, white peach nuances, with an intense and lingering minerality on the palate. Dry(Trocken), but with a low residual sugar that gives softness and roundness to the wine. — 9 years ago
Very excited about these wines. Jochen Dreissigacker worked at Keller for 3 years and his plot of Kirchspeil is adjacent. Similar depth of character in both producers. — 10 years ago
