Wow! I honestly didn’t expect this to be so good (2010 being such a cool year), but it is fantastic! Big red stone fruit and pepper on the nose, hints of bacon fat, cigar box, and white pepper on initial palette. Medium bodied, medium tannins. Excellent finish. Yum! — 6 years ago
Red mtn. all the way (i.e. huge fruit and a hint of banana), with softer tannins (thanks to aging perhaps) and a sweet lingering finish. Yum! — 7 years ago
The 2007 is drinking amazingly well. I'm glad I have another bottle to sit on a little longer. — 8 years ago
2016 vintage. Served at dinner party M&S. So perfect with filet mignon. Would buy again. M NOLA — 5 years ago
Aging well. This medium bodied wine is still full of tannin and flavor. It will probably continue to age well for another 5-6 years. Bright red fruit (red plum, strawberry and cranberry) are backed up by a heady/boozy finish and some nice spicy notes (dried red pepper and maybe nutmeg/baking spice). Yum! — 6 years ago
Just silly good. So pure with bright, beautiful red fruit. JM Fourrier has to be on of the best producers in all of Burgundy. I can only imagine how amazing his 1er and Grand Crus are if his Village is this impressive. — 8 years ago
PNP > I liked it more in its youth 2008/09
Timeframe for my Fruit Forward pallet. Dr. Jay Miller -Wine Advocate Staffer rated 98 points
in 2007. Cheers 🍇🍷 Dr. Jay Miller Review:
“Any aspiring collectors should add a case of this to their stash. The 2004 Numanthia comes from a different terroir with a different clone of Tinta de Toro. The vines for this cuvee range from 70-100 years of age with tiny yields of 1 ton of fruit per acre. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in barrel followed by 19 months in new French oak before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. The wine is a glass-coating opaque purple with a killer nose of mineral, pencil lead, wild blueberry, and blackberry liqueur that roars from the glass. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, dense, and already beginning to show complexity within its layers of spicy black fruits. There is immense power, well-concealed ripe tannin, and the well-delineated finish lasts for over one minute. This is a sensational effort which in a perfect world should be cellared for a decade and enjoyed over the following 25+ years. However, the elderly among us should not feel guilty about opening a bottle now. (JM) (2/2007)” — 5 years ago
It lives up to it’s name. Though 2010 wasn’t the best year, probably the worst of this decade actually, this wine is still very drinkable and has stood this short test of time very well. Profile is dominated by the cab (37%) at this stage as the Merlot (40%) has faded a little. The Malbec and Petit Verdot making up the rest are subtle/hiding. Dark brambly berries/black cherry, faint cola notes, tobacco and wet stone/pencil shavings are the prominent flavors and aromas. It is probably good for at least a few more years. :) — 6 years ago
This was a step up from the others and that typical Caillerets saltiness gave it personality and backbone. Lovely, and with the Amuse Bouche of a single slice of the most succulent octopus I've ever had from One Star Michelin chef JM Carette it was a match made in heaven — 8 years ago
This Carnenere is incredible. Only 75 cases case were made, so this may be a tough wine to find. — 8 years ago
Great mouth. Nice feel. Wonderful flavor. — 8 years ago

Yum! But it’s a little stemmy and underwhelming for what it could be. Cherry and cola notes are evident, sweet but not as deep as it could be. — 4 years ago
