Solid. Not as bold as the last vintage I had but I like it. — 4 years ago
Very aromatic Riesling from Alsace. Melon, white flowers, orange peel, even hint of ginger on those nose. Beautiful deep yellow, almost gold color. Mouth watering acidity with a persistent finish — 6 years ago

Wow, acid is here and that's for sure. Utterly refreshing, peppery lime nose. Grapefruit, gave, bitter lime but all very balanced. I could drink a bucket. — 6 years ago
Nose: green pepper herbs.
Palate: lovely cab. Elegant red cherry. Nice vegetal.

My Sunday night wine I have gone back to a favorite of mine that is not going to break the bank and is consistently good. I have opened the Jim Clendenon 2018 Au Bon Climat Pinot Noir Santa Barbara County.
On the nose there is raspberry, cranberry, cherry, spice vanilla anise, clove and earthiness.
On the palate I detect good red fruit, raspberry, cherry, cranberry, red currant, anise, clove and earthiness.
The wine is medium bodied with medium + acidity and medium fine tannins that leads into a long fresh red fruit finish. Another well blended wine from Jim Clendenon that i have come to expect. I hope everyone's weekend was a good one and we are all still safe and healthy. Have a great week, Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 5 years ago
Lime pith, ripe pear notes on the exuberant nose.... but the weight on the palate is impressive. Textured, waxy, lively acidity and a long almost saline finish. This is a food wine that can hold its own with Asian or Mediterranean cuisine and slice through the richness and complexity to make its own statement. An impressive introduction to Ian Brand and a stunning value. Kudos! — 6 years ago

Thought we had the last bottle a year ago but realized we had one more. Really very nice - a sort of time capsule wine, taking you back nearly two decades with the depth of amber color and honeyed flavor. So well balanced, with the secondary round fruit giving way to nice acids (more than I recall on the bottle a year ago). Fun one for sure. — 8 months ago
