From half bottle. Birth year wine. Excellent surprise, this wine is quite precise on the nose with a saline minerality, yellow flowers, orange marmalade, some wax although the wine is quote fresh and not really tasting tired or oxidized in any way. Palette is unfortunately defined by an alcoholic weight (10% on the label) which detracts from the wine’s otherwise great elegance and ethereal nature. Not overly sweet with sufficient though not especially racy acidity. Overall very fun to drink and in a great spot from 375.

Orleans is a rare white wine grape variety grown in small proportions in Pfalz, Germany.
As a wine, Orleans has distinctive pineapple aromas and a slight spiciness. It shows excellent aging potential but, as it can be challenging in the vineyard, it is consequently quite unpopular with winemakers.

Best riesling i’ve tried so far..
Very good for spicy food.
Round, lots of lime, very fruity when properly cooled. — 5 years ago
Fresh and lean ripper with clean fruit, intense smoky slate and unrelenting minerality. Very austere but also very appealing. — 7 years ago
One of the best I've had and had a lot — 8 years ago
Another pleasant surprise from this lesser known estate which is located direct beside the famous Weingut Georg Breuer. Slightly matured interpretation of a not 100% dry Riesling. Fresh sliced white peach, wet stone and a hint of Petroleum on the nose. Lively, vibrant acidity but missing a bit the structure & length. — 8 years ago

By the glass. Barb said aromas of Fairy Floss. (Aussies who have been to rural Agricultural Shows will be familiar with Fairy Floss - a sugary whipped confection). Also a note of Lemon and petrol, but oh so young - yet to display its potential. One of the least sweet Ausleses I have ever had. Great refreshment and lively acid. — 6 years ago
Så potent och fortfarande ung. Frukter ger och den oljiga munkänslan är helt gudomlig. Riesling på högsta nivå. — 8 years ago

The 07 Vintage is just perfect balance of fruit, freshness and creamy yeast aromatics — 10 years ago
Huge quality-for-price here. Pure, intense, and juicy dark cherries, cinnamon-y spice, and just a wisp of evergreen and some flowers when I look for them. Under $20 pinot that will please crowds and critics alike: ✔️. Plus this was still delicious the 2nd day. — 10 years ago

At first, wet grass, hay, pear, apricot and dried apricot, some petrol and mushroom notes... this is still very fresh, and has a beautiful touch of residual sugar that balances the still bright acidity. Washes over your mouth with secondary flavors of dried fruits and a long finish.
Above notes were before decanting... after an hour this is presenting a whole new fruit and floral perfume- unbelievably high-toned- like smelling perfume on a wrist. Blossoms above a deep muskiness. Magic! — 5 years ago
