Georg Breuer
Rauenthaler Nonnenberg Riesling
Beautifully evolved aromas of candied peaches, orange rind and slatey minerality, this is still vivid and sports great and lush fruit on the palate, finishing with positive drive and strong presence. From Magnum.

Oct 1st, 2015Needed some air to open up. Very mineral; meaty, floral, and herbaceous notes wrapped around a citrus core. Rich but very driven palate. Drinking beautifully at 10 yo. If I had to nitpick, I reckon it could be fresher and the RS stands out a bit (not out of balanced).
Note: For a warm vintage and arguably warm region for riesling, it perplexes me how it's only 12.5% abv. My guess is that RS is the key. To be able to showcase 07's generosity while maintaining elegance is truly a brilliant feat. Producer and site is so important!
