Great wine from Yakima valley, typically don't enjoy cabs. — 8 years ago
This did NOT suck! Luscious red and blue fruit, lavender essence, brilliant energy/acidity, some exotic spicyness dissolving into some tonal smoky minerality. Moderately long finish. I was not familiar with this producer but let the somm (at a restaurant with JB chops) guide me to something that made wonderful music with a brilliant pork collar feast. 100% Carignan...perhaps my first from Chile. And still a baby...should be even more fantastic in the 2020's. — 9 years ago
1990 Paul Jaboulet Aine Hermitage La Chapelle Syrah. Dinner w JB and Mc at Mic's. Epic. Absolutely perfect. Mc especially loved the meaty, peppery, savory notes in the wine. Super smooth, long finish. Drank this before the '85 Henshke and this won out. Perfect. — 9 years ago
JB is a fruit bomb. Not my style, but I could see it going well with paninis or 'za. Caymus drinkers will enjoy. — 9 years ago

Corsair’s gin is still made at their first facility in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and remains a personal favorite in their portfolio. There’s an appealing oiliness to the gin’s texture – tasting of lemon and orange extracts. Brand ambassador Will Atkinson describes it as an Americanized Hendrick’s, namely for the inclusion of cucumber along with the botanicals. The cucumber’s freshness helps soften the spirit’s finish, which otherwise offers a sumptuously juicy expression of gin. — 8 years ago
Bright fruit. Surprisingly long finish for such a young wine. A little glycerine taste on the finish. Odd in that it is seems to be losing flavor while open. But smooth and good mouthfeel. Drank with Ryan and JB with cooked goose from Della. — 9 years ago

Fruity, lots of flavour, light mouthfeel - seemed more like a pinot while drinking. JB wine — 9 years ago
First candle lit dinner with Remi. JB and Ali got her down while Ali artfully cut and ate her steak with one hand. Also, the grill caught on fire, but JB saved the steaks at the perfect level of char. The spinach was delicious, and the dirt that Ali left on it from the farmers market will help tremendously with digestion. — 7 years ago

Corsair’s Triple Smoke Whiskey is their best selling product and is crafted with malted barley smoked by three different fuel sources. The cherry wood from Wisconsin offers a sweet, floral aroma; the peat from Scotland brings with it a smoky finish; and the beech wood from Germany purportedly unites everything together. Brand ambassador Will Atkinson describes it as a spirit “for somebody looking to get into Scotch Whisky, but isn’t quite there yet.” While the peaty flavors certainly shine through, there’s a gratifying fullness to the whiskey, as well as a subtle bacony, charcuterie character. — 8 years ago
Tastes like camomile tea. Had with JB and Jamie in Vegas — 8 years ago
1985 Henshke Hill of Grace Syrah. Dinner w JB and Mc at Mic's. Much more fruit on the front end than the '90 Jaboulet La Chapelle. Unfair comp, but we preferred the rhone to this wine tonight, though this was wine was lovely and really, really good. Just paled in comp to a 100 point wine. — 9 years ago
Magnum 2007 Jean-Marc Pillot Chassagne-Montrachet. J&D B brought for our dinner together at Vin. K and I had never had this particular wine before. Never even heard of it. But, as usual, JB was able to enlighten us with something new and absolutely beautiful. It was just everything I love abt a great white wine. Balanced. Perfect. — 9 years ago
